well, my maths coursework has to be in tomorrow, and i have a rather long formula that looks like shite atm. are there any programs that i can use to draw an image of the formula?
my formula is this:
SQRT( (plane^2+wind^2)- (2*plane*wind*( COS( 180-(arccos(COS( ABS(90-B)))+(ABS(arcsin((SIN(90-B)*wind)/plane)))) ) ) ) )

cheers:)

Well, the most accessible option is Microsoft's Equation Editor. You can get to it through Word by telling it to Insert -> Object.

Considering it's due in tomorrow, I may have to refrain from suggesting rewriting it in LaTeX...

That may be because it wasn't installed as default. You can use the install CDs to and do an Add/Remove components and install the equation editor

Gonna have to agree with FBM, latex is the way forward, I had to write my final year project in it and they give you extra marks for presentation for using it! and no I dont have a beard, except an ass beard.... :(

it's quite true though, you're both correct. latex is supreme. yet I abide by my beardy remark ;)

Equation editor works fine in Office, just have to install it from the cd.

And beard-hate is justified tbh, horrid things :)

What about goatee-hate? ;)
There used to be a time when a goatee had a profound evil image with it.
Now you just look like a disloged member of generation X/90's trowback

I like mine, unfortunately the woman in my life is less keen. Although I sometimes grow it really long just to annoy her and test her love for me!

The problem with mine is it's ginger. A mate actually asked if I'd dyed it. :(

mine loves my beardyness for some odd reason (first one that ever said she liked it) but she wants it only on the point of my chin and/or a triangle under my bottom lip. any other places, and I mean this in the loosest sense, and all fraternising grinds to an instant halt oO

Are gloats similar to shleep? but with horns and less wool? :p

I'm sure it's illegal here..
