It's sim free, supplied on o2, so may have some o2 branding on the software, but I tested it with orange, t-mob an 3 and works fine.

They been going for £60-£80 on fleabay, I would take £55, plus any postage. Let me make sure I have all the accessories, got the box and stuff.

Also my cousin has first refusal, so I shall let you know for definite if that price is okay with you?

Aye yaruar, I always used to upgrade every 12 months and sell my old handset, usually got near £100 or more for most of them. I been lazy recently though and let them collect dust. You have to remember that lots of people don't have upgrades available or are on pay and go where these phones still cost £150 +.

oh and link to your c902 please, I know someone who was after one.

I've used a friends for a long play now, and it is great. But it really would be the complete phone with a nice camera on it. Iphone, HTC's, the X1, all great devices, just missing the camera to make them into competition killers.

Welcome to the club dysfunction! :)

I've installed this custom ROM on mine and it literally adds coolness to your phone in one go.
[03.03.09][WWE] Touch-IT v4.0 "Landscape" RC1.1 Online - xda-developers

When itje (the bloke cooking the ROM) says it is a Release Candidate, it's because there are still one or two corners to round off and polish, but the actual operation is pretty much all working.

TouchFlo3D (TF3D) is the UI used on most of the newer HTC devices like the Touch Pro and Touch Diamond. The version used in this ROM comes from the new Touch Pro 2 so it includes flipping to landscape mode when you open the keyboard. It's also much leaner than the default SE ROM with far more resources available after a hard reset.

The ROM contains a number of programs "out of the box" that most people find handy, but deliberately leaves certain apps out so you can choose which ones you prefer to have. My suggested applications are:
* the version of Opera that allows your bookmarks to show up on the "Internet" tab of TF3D.
* TomTom7 (VGA, black theme)
* Google Maps with Latitude
* Footprints (geotagging application)

It may be worth holding off until the ROM is declared done and Finalised.
Finally a word of warning about flashing the ROM of your phone. As this is a custom ROM, you will need to install Hard-SPL which is an alternative bootloader to the phone's default bootloader. This is because the manufacturer's bootloader only allows signed ROMs to be installed, while Hard-SPL allows unsigned ROMs to be installed.
It should also be said that flashing the ROM of your phone isn't something to be done lightly. If something goes wrong while flashing the phone, it is POSSIBLE (though unlikely) that your phone could get bricked and become a very expensive paperweight.
For comparison, I've flashed my phone 6 times in the last month while trying out different ROMs. Itje's Touch-IT Experience "Landscape" v4.0 is one of the best IMO. :)

Ah thanks very much for that! That looks pretty cool!

Do you know when will this ROM become finalised?
Are those Apps you mentioned included in the ROM??

Yes, most of those apps are included in the rar package in a folder called cabs.
As for the final version, itje is trying out features from the new HTC Rhodium (Touch Pro 2) so I'd guess maybe a couple of weeks until it's finished.

If I install this ROM and want to go back to how my phone is now how do I go about doing that?

Thanks!

Funnily enough I had to do exactly that today. My phone has developed a crack in the casing next to the battery compartment, and a quick googling shows that it isn't an isolated problem.
xperia-x1-crack-battery | Xperia X1

I've arranged a replacement through O2 so I've had to flash the ROM back to the stock O2 UK version and the Hard-SPL back to the normal version.
First of all download the stock O2 ROM from here...
RapidShare: Easy Filehosting

Then install that ROM onto your phone using the method described on this page...
*** Flash X1 without PC - Micro SD Method *** - xda-developers

Finally you need to flash the Hard-SPL bootloader back to v0.72 using this method at the bottom of post #1 here...
Hard-SPL for Xperia X1 - Released! - xda-developers

My phone's software is now exactly as if it had come out of the box. :)

[edit] Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention. itje has incremented his release version to v4.5. Assuming the closed beta ironed out the worst of the bugs, this *should* be a strong contender for stable release.
