You are living in a fantasy mate, Chelsea couldn't even fill a crumbling Stamford Bridge 15 years ago. Where was the massive fanbase then? Oh wait, they didn't exist. Chelsea have always been the 3rd or 4th best supported club in London yet couldn't fill a 36,000 stadium on a regular basis until the big money started to come in. United on the other hand have been filling the ground week in week out for decades, consistently the highest attendances by quite a margain and consistently the only club to be turning an operating profit year after year. That is down to United fans who spend hard and even show up when the times are bad. 1975 in the second division we set all time attendance records. During the 1980's when we only managed a couple of F.A. cups over the space of a decade yet Old Trafford was full EVERY week, I know because I was there along with 58,000 other Mancunians.

Not all Chelsea fans are glory hunters of course but a lot are, same as alot of current United fans are sadly. That is the nature of modern society, Joe Public are generally a bunch of fucking sheep.

I really like Bable i watched his in the under 21s and hoped we would sign him he showed some real quality.

The only think about Torres and why he might be wrong is because as midfielder heavy as you are an out and out goal getter might have been best as you might play 4-5-1 but who knows.

#4; The top clubs haven't really needed to sign any world class strikers, i'd imagine you're aware of that. Well perhaps Man Utd but Tevez is on and off so much to the point it's not worth assuming he'll come. But on the flipside it could also be Pizzaro who's the premierships big hit this year.

And your last point. Chelsea didn't really NEED to become massively stronger over the summer. Our downfall in the league was down to the lack of defensive cover we suffered when JT and Ricky were out for long periods of time, both separately or together. Factor Cech's absence into that too and you'll see thats when a number of perceived 'easy' games were thrown away, especially the draws at home to Reading/Fulham.

We've added to our squad more appropriately now, all positions are well catered for meaning our key players can be rested more, which hopefully would cut down on the injuries too.

I still think Chelsea will sign another player, same with Utd. Liverpool have allegedly made contact with Roma about Mancini, although he's contracted until 2009 and said he'll see that out, so who knows.
