were you watching the match, he did not dive in the game. The only semi complaint he had during his time was the Ballack wrestling. I did not say he doesnt dive, but in that game he didnt need to as they kept tripping him.

And yes, 4th official has a monitor available, as the managers always looking at replays on it (they get the live sky feed that goes out to other countries in general iirc).

And they need to dish out yellow cards post match for blatent diving, but it hard sometimes to tell a blatent dive, from minimal contact, from trying to avoid someone and falling etc etc.

Im sorry, but Ronaldo doesnt dive anywhere near as often as he used to, if at all. Opposing players just try and kick lumps out of him because they are afraid of his skill.

For me, he is the bravest player in the premiership and sure, he may wave his arms about in protest but it is justified. He doesnt get nearly enough protection from the refs who just allow players to kick him, or rough him up at will.

He goes down as soon as he feels the defenders leg touch his, like its a reflex action.
There are much worse offenders tho, for me Eboue is the prime example. Dangerous tackles and diving uke:

I can not agree with that he is as guilty as anyone of playing for a free kick and just waiting for contact so he can go down. He is a great player his one weakness is his fondness for a easy fall and then trying to get the booking. Im not saying he is the worst and im not saying no Arsenal players do it.

Of course he is going to try and beat the man, he is a footballer and gets paid over 100K a week to do so! You make it sound as if he has balls of steel, when every other player in the league is under the same threat? (if you could even call it that). Ronaldo still dives, and he is obviously told to do so. Perhaps not as theatrically as he used to (remember the last WC?) but whenever he is so much as touched by a defender he will go down.

edit- It's not just because he dives. Call me bitter but i can't forget him winking at the touch line after pleading for Rooney to be sent of. Or Sarcastically clapping the ref for booking him for diving. I remember watching a game a while ago, he made a run down the right wing with O'shea who muffed a pass up. Seeing him make hand gestures in disbelief just gives the impression he's an arrogant brat really. just my impression tho.
