LOL you think Chelsea want Carson?. You're having a fucking laugh :D

Villa has stated he's not going, Eto'o the same & Torres isn't leaving unless his buyout clause is met at £27m.

I will be shocked if Liverpool spend £25 million on one player and this is what it is going to cost to get either Torres, Villa or Eto'o. Regardless, one player won't be enough to turn Liverpool into a title winning side. They need to shed dead wood like Kewell and Pennant then replace with real quality.

right, what's wrong with Pennant now? I've not watched many Liverpool matches, but he seems to be quite decent. I've never understood why he isn't one of the starting 11.

as I said, im no liverpool fan, so I clearly dont know what im talking about :p however he seems to add a little spice to their play everytime he gets in.

Good to see Henry comming to Barca, however, i do feel its a season or two, too late. I have a feeling hes become a little too much injury prone.

Still, it will piss off the arrogant arse fans

Not consistent or commited enough, sadly the bloke is a big time charlie as Leeds/Birmingham/Arsenal fans will tell you. He makes an effort for the big games but completely goes missing in many of the games against lesser sides, it cost Liverpool points last season and they can't afford someone like that if they want to win the league. I was sat with 3 Liverpool fans during the CL final and they all said the same thing, one went even further and said Zenden plus Finnan had to go as well.

Liverpool need to start making some moves in the transfer market now, pre-season is rapidly approaching and they haven't made a significant signing yet. Rafa's £50 million warchest seems to be non-existant, no serious moves have been made for any world class players so far.

Oh and here is something that started doing the rounds in Manchester yesterday, Micheal Owen to Manchester United in exchange for Alan Smith and £13 million. I am uncertain if Owen/Rooney will work for us though, serious lack of height but then again we won the league without a big centre forward so who knows.

I'm still suprised how much people are willing to pay for Owen. Granted he has talent but he's been out for how long?, hell of a lot of money to gamble on.

Also suprised that Arsenal didn't try and strike up a deal to take Eidur the other way, proven goal scorer in the premiership which is what Arsenal are in dire need of.

Bad for the english game but i dont think arsenal have looked that bad this season when he has been injured. He will still be missed heavily though, think he was a whole inspiration to the team.

they've got no top class striker though - and they cant replace a player like Henry. Not only because of his play, but he had more experience than all of the others.

I hope they're buying Tevez, as I really would like Manchester and Chelsea to get some competition next year :) Also, Liverpool could be up there aswell, if they're getting a few new players, and getting rid of some others.

The rumour about Owen and Smith can't be true, why would we pay 13m, when Owen has a 9m buy-out clause?

I would assume it is lubrication of some sort to help the deal go through, Newcastle are bound to go nuts if he goes for £9 million and perhaps United just want a quick deal. I bet at least £5 million of that money is structuredd though and conditonal on trophies won plus Owen staying fit. Either that or the deal is £13 million total including Smith probably being valued at £6 million. You know what United are like though, paying over the odds has become something of a habit in recent times. It wouldn't suprise me if the deal was on the cards, Fergie had his eye on Owen last summer until he got injured again at the world cup.

Agreed, Dein, Henry and Wenger WERE Arsenal. Now, predict midtable obscuirty for a few years like Tottenham and yes, Chelsea before Mr Moneybacks took over :p

I mean look at Leeds, they sold there best players and now only just come out of adminsration with Master Bates and Dennis "Im not a midget" Wise in charge :(

Hardly Thad :p

Last time Chelsea finished around mid table was 95/96 season iirc. Since then it's been within the top 6 :D

It was obviously coming if the price is 16 mil when West Ham offered 18 for bent its a joke.

He wanted to leave thats fine the reason he offered were upsetting i would rather he just said he leaving for new challenges.

Let just wait and see who Wenger brings in if it Babel then Arsenal are going to be in trouble next year when Ade gose to the cup of nations we will have RVP and Bartender.

Don't be surprised to see Wenger new manager of Barcelona in next few weeks.

Not gonna happen Wenger pledge next season and hes no liar. Also Barce current manager has said he will be there next season.

It is a joke but to be fair, he was not happy with the way Dein left and Wenger is on about leaving too. He would not move to another English club due to his love for Arsenal and to be fair, he has achieved everything here.

Good luuck to him I say, he wowed us for 8 years and he wants to try another league before he retires.

However, I can see him coming back to Arsenal when he is 34-35 if he is still playing as a player/coach role

Ohh yeah good luck to him and everything but he did not need the rubbish reasons. Wenger never has signed a deal with less than a year to go and a player should not quit because someone on the board dose. I would like to have seen him say im moving for new challenges.

He said he wanted to do it as it was now or never, which is a point because he is almost 30

I would just like to point out that no matter how good a single player are, he does not do everything by himself.

Sure, Henry was an extremely good player, but he had help from different players around the pitch.

Arsenal won't start to struggle to stay over the mid-table just cause they lose one player.

The whole team was build around him though. He wasn't just 'one' player at arsenal. He was THE player.

Thats not true we without him for well over half this season and still finished 4th. My major concern is without him RVP is our only established attacker so we could find ourselfs out of the Champions League spots next season. We will just have to wait to see what Wenger dose.

The bigger worry for Arsenal now is can they keep Fabregas? If so how long for? Same goes for Wenger, it is very much looking like he will be moving on at the end of his contract.
