I think the point was more that someone who supports a team who's done nothing of any note at all in the last few years perhaps should be slightly slower to call achievements made by other people's teams "completely meaningless".

If you remove the 12 year old idiot from the thread (and I do try to do it manually in my brain) I don't see any Liverpool fans here screaming that we are the greatest team in the known universe at the moment, so perhaps the amount of abuse about how we haven't won one competition because we arn't consistant enough (and we've admitted that ourselves) is slightly unwarranted.

I've been reserved in judgement of Keitan due to the stick I've seen him get whenever football threads come up, but fuck me, its justified

united game, solid stuff, arsenal, did their job, rangers, bit unlucky, went same route that international team has gone in big games recently, though doubt they deserved a point. Looking pretty sweet for the english teams this year, but everyones gonna be hard pushed to stop Barca, and inter look pretty rejuvinated (Though they'll blatently fall at a knockout hurdle to some inferior team)

Also felt Sporting were REALLY hard done to, both goals conceded due to long range undefendable efforts, would love to see Roma go out and this Sporting team reminds me of Kiev/Porto/Marseille of a few years back, cant wait to see Veloso at united :england:

You know Marc, I would have to agree. The boy is looking like the real deal, if he keeps progressing for the next 3-4 years he will be one of the top 5 players in the world.

hes not an awesome athlete, which will hamper him playing in the middle

having said that he is looking mighty handy, maybe he can be a totti/becks hybrid for many years to come, but he wont ever be a true maestro like a zidane/maradona (imo)

I would suggest you watch more Arsenal games as the only thing you have right is that he is not tall. He can run dribble and has very quick feet. But lately because of the kind of player he is he gets double teamed right away so he passes off a lott of first time balls. IF he keeps progressing at the rate he has i think top 5 if not top 3 players, i just hope its in the next 4 years while he is an Arsenal player.
