However good Gerrard is, he's not creative. Sissoko? Nah. Mascherano? Could be, played in the right way. Kewell? Injured. Kuyt? Nah. Alonso? Not really..

They really need some more creativity offensively, that they'll get by playing players that are creative (and it'll look a whole lot better too!)

Mascherano has the most tackles in prem this season.. by far.. and he aint played much... he has the potential to be one of the worlds best dmf where as alonso hes just quality.. sissoko will go soon.. kuyt isnt a striker hes a Target/assistman kewell he will get better and hes not injured

We were saying Kewell was going to get better when he was a fresh faced young twenty year old at Leeds UTD

benitez keeps buying loads of squad players, so he can rotate more and let his "superstars" have a rest

fairly fundamental flaw when you have 1 superstar to begin with, and said superstar hates being left out of the starting XI

at least he was on the ball with torres, that boys a class act, but gerrard and torres wont win you the league, whereas cristiano and rooney have already prooved they can win the league though, as have lampard and drogba

marc hows dos santos faring this year? seen a bit of bojan as well and he looks fairly useful

in 99-2000 we won 5 trophies, then ofc champ laeuge followed by fa cup, so not like we arent sucsesful, just too inconsistant to win the leauge an we are probly still a few years off

8-0 is a good result on any day, but a number of goals were fluky and Besiktas needed to win the game as well and their defending was shocking.

Liverpool beat Derby 6-0 earlier this season and everyone was saying then it was the dawn of a new era etc....pants they are just rare results

I will rate Liverpool as a team of the quality of Man Utd/Arsenal/Barca etc if they can get the results that really matter against Porto and Marseille when they are playing against a team that sits back and counter attacks with quality players rather than self destructs like Besiktas

Maybe the £25 million signing of Torres is the sign of things to come, which would be great for the premier league.

Dos Santos has played well when used this year. He doesnt have Ronaldinhos lighning pace, or balance but his control and technique seem to be top drawer.

Rumour has it a couple of english clubs are looking to break the bank to get him next summer as his contract is up. Although I would be very surprised if he left Barca so early in his career. I think his younger Brother may play for Barca too.

You are correct, Dos Santos has gained spanish citizenship. However, he is regarded as one of the best young prospects in the game, which is why i cant see Barca letting him go. Although that said, how long will dos santos be prepared to play under study to ronaldinho?
