Arsenal : -1.6m (they've actually made money!!111)

however, looking at last 4yrs:

chelsea may have spent a LOT of money over the past few years, there is no denying that, don't make out like the other top teams (arsenal excluded) don't also spend extortionate amounts of money also.

In the same timeframe only 2 of those 4 clubs have won the champions league. At least we have taken away silverware on several occasions.

CL doesn't measure the ability of a club the same way that the PL does, but thats definitely just my opinion (And the 2 that havn't won the CL have managed either the final or semi's and are generally pretty strong in Europe, not like they fail miserably- lpool is also the lowest league standing team out of the top4 coming 5th a couple of years back and worst overall in the last 5years in terms of final standings)

Also, and I don't think this is just my opinion, Liverpool's football is pretty inferior to the other top 3, probably why the league is so elusive

In fact been chatting this one over with a m8 recently (lpool fan) and we just can't seem to put a finger on why they can't play strong attacking football, as they definitely have the players for it, your midfield is pretty rock solid wiith gerrard and alonso and you have a top notch strike force- maybe weak wingers? Or a general lack of movement for the teams awesome passers of the ball? Even Mascherano can play great football (See argentina), not willing to believe in to Benitez's rotation excuses

Spurs are another case altogether, bet their chairman (is it Levy or am I getting mixed up?) doesn't sleep well at night

I remember people wondering about the transfer of Benayoun, I think he showed a bit of why he was bought tonight. CREATIVITY! Something that Liverpool seem to lack, for all the power that they do have in their team.
However good Gerrard is, he's not creative. Sissoko? Nah. Mascherano? Could be, played in the right way. Kewell? Injured. Kuyt? Nah. Alonso? Not really..

They really need some more creativity offensively, that they'll get by playing players that are creative (and it'll look a whole lot better too!)

As a Utd fan i have to say gratz to Liverpool for winning 8-0 last night. If Utd/Chelsea had won by that margin we would all be boasting about it.

But please don't go over the top like when you beat Derby. As results since then have shown you still have a long way to go to win the Premier League.
