It didn't really come across as complaining to me, it was questioning the legitimacy of pricing that is £10+ more than other local stores.

No one has really answered this yet, and the whole "this is what the Infogrames RRP is, blame them" is a bit of a misnoma. A £5 difference is one thing, but £10 is getting close to 1/3 of the price.

How many copies of NWN would HMV sell if they had priced it at £40 ?

I expect not as many as GAME who a custom display given pride of place in every store.

Remember the customer demographics are different at HMV & GAME, ppl who shop at HMV primarily do so for music and wouldn't look twice at NWN .

If it bothers you that much you could do a price match, but then you'd look like a anti-social cretin who has too much time on their hands going to different shops.

Perhaps you should change careers so that you can afford these, perhaps nursing?
