Firefox - bookmarks gone for the holidays?

Title says it all - I boot the machine, I open Firefox and my bookmarks are gone... as simple as that. My old IE bookmarks are still all there.

I checked the trash bin, in case I had accidentally somehow deleted the BM's but nothing. Is there any way to recover them?

Something to do with profiles? Sure your using your profile, or it isnt corrupted?

Hmmm... I am relatively sure the problem is on FF's side - simply because my IE bookmarks are still all there.

Yes. Firefox uses profiles, it stores all your settings in a profiles folder. Really can't remember the location, if you go to the firefox homepage and look at the forums it should be able to get you back on track.
