If you could ever claim the time back for some films you hae watched which would they be. I mean the Blockbusters or much hyped movies that were real howlers. Bad acting, Bad scripting and an even worse story line.

I'll get the ball rolling and My nominations in no particular order would be

Independence Day Take a good concept, add Will Smith and some cheeky script writing and expect a blockbuster. 4/10

The Core There has been some very good disaster movies and some very bad disaster movies. Alas The Core takes all of the very bad bits from Deep Impact, Armageddon and all the 70's Doug Mcclure films and made it bad 3/10

Little Nicky It wasn't funny, it wasn't witty it was a big steaming turd with the very best bits in the 30 second trailer0/10

Hostel Another film which storyline had plenty of potential. Now add as much blood as possible and really dumb it down to its lowest common denominator. Pants 0/10

Miami Vice: No storyline, no plot, just lots of random scenes with shit getting blown up for no apparent reason.

Napoleon Dynamite: Biggest steaming heap of shite i've ever had the displeasure of watching, bang on about it all you like, it's shit and not in the slightest bit funny or entertaining.

Shallow Hal: Chick flick nuff said, ended up walking out of it halfway through despite the other half at the time protesting about how good it is. (Which by the way was a mental note to never bother with bimbos ever again).

And also, near enough every single Marvel film. They were all shit, including fantastic four, x-men etc. I'd love to claim back the money and time I wasted even bothering to watch them. :D

Dont watch a film called happyness, unless you actually are a kiddy bummer. Mates GF brought it over all enthusiastic about it, its about a load of bloody pedos. Not fun. It even had "brilliant.." and all that shit on the back from big papers and stuff. Fuck knows what those ***** were smoking.

Well done to Chilly for totally missing the point of Happiness, though that's not entirely surprising given the subject matter and the fact that it's not your typical Hollywood idiotfest. Ebert does a pretty good job of explaining why so many see it is a great movie.

Well i don't personally find any movie as a waste of time, been even tempted to watch Gigli just for the sake of knowing how bad it is.

I can name a few bad movies, but all in all, each movie gave some thoughts/ideas and those are priceless :D

I fully appreciate the artistic relevance of happiness, its just that I never, EVER want to watch a film where a grown man actually drugs and rapes a small boy again. Sorry if that offends your sense of artistic worth.

/edit a quick clarification. I do agree that the film has a lot of very deep messages about depravity, and I can appreciate the fact that it is very close to home. It was also pretty funny at times, which was perplexing given that within 5 minutes you could go from laughter to abject shock - in that sense it is a masterpiece. I just am not comfortable with the paedophilia, it was awful to watch. all of us in the room were pretty disgusted to watch the worst scenes.

I found Kill Bill ZzZ, couldnt understand what all the fuss was about. Just pointless violence(i love action movies normaly... when they have a plot to go with it)

RE: Chilly - Yeah, it's just the fact that it's fucked up was the point - that here was a three dimensional character with redeeming qualities, who also turned out to be a horrific paedophile - and it's not like it was actually shown (of course, and thankfully).

Plus the sheer discomfort and credulity-stretching nature of a bunch of the scenes made for some nice, seriously black humour.

Edit re edit: yeah, I'd agree that I don't think I'd be particularly comfortable watching it with company. Too painful.

I guess we're not talking about the film where the black man solves a Rubiks Cube, then finds a job, then we watch the credits? Because that was rubbish too.

War of the Worlds - lots of tension throughout the film, but I prefer some action instead.

Big G said:

You 2 are clearly giant ponces . Napoleon Dynamite was amazing if you get it, and Sin City was pure sex.

For other reasons, not because it was shit but a film called War Zone is the worst film I have ever seen, I truly wished I hadn't stuck with it, the ending still upsets me now.

Worst film I have seen for the reasons given above is Star Wars : Attack of the Clones, I want to punch anyone who liked that.
