Here's my abstract interpretation on water.

A maximum aperture for a very shallow depth of field and focus for an intimate feel. I only wish I could post it at maximum resolution.

Worsley Packet House, on the Bridgewater Canal just west of Manchester. The water here used to be a deep shade of orange due to iron oxide leaking out of the underground mines (some 40-50 miles of them here), but it has recently been cleaned up. Doesn't look as nice in my opinion.

A couple of different takes on water from me, again they're old but they're about our interaction with water.

Ben Ledi on a crisp new year's day, one from my Scotland shoot. Water in the form of the lake and it's reflection, partial freezing at the water's edge and the snow capped hill.

Corrected for exposure.

I think that would look a lot better slightly cropped and rotated Deebs, so the horizon line was horizontal and not at an angle. :)

As I said to Tom once, this isn't a photography advice thread. :)

I don't think it's inappropriate to say little snippets like this. People that take photos like feedback, especially if it's constructive. At least, I like feedback: it's better than tumbleweed silence.

You're the only one that needs it :p

Oi !

Well in experience, and just out of courtesy and manners, if someone doesn't say "CC welcome" then I keep my opinions to myself :).

No problems, I quickly scanned thru my archives and just posted one. Critic is most welcome, I just didn't have time to load up photoshop and crop.

Great work Milou, as always. :)

I'm going out to get a seascape either this weekend or next; this gives me an idea on what level the quality of the picture has to be!

It's great to be competing against a pro (or if you're not making a living from it, of pro quality).

Yeah definately, should, with any luck encourage people to go out and try to get different shots. Out of curiosity though Milou, how much editing goes into your photos?

Denis Oilvier's project: Denis Olivier | Art Limited

Nessie shot: that front post is only about 4 feet tall (or is it high?). I set up the tripod just above the waves and used a shutter release along with a wide angle to accentuate the first post. You do get a wet arse though when working that low to the tide.
