A very standard portrait style shot of my daughter taken a couple of weeks ago in fairly low light at the Eden Project in Cornwall. She never normally stays still enough for a photo, but I thought the longish exposure gives it the real soft focus look.

#1 - Ghosts on the dancefloor

This is one of my shots from my sister's wedding during the ceilidh. I left the shutter open and then bounced the flash; the bloke right in the middle of the shot must have stayed perfectly still the whole time - I found it a bit amusing.

Cheers. 1/80 sec @ f/2.8 on a 50mm 1.4 - ISO 400. As you know, the 50mm prime is sparkly. I had to choose the wide aperture as he moved about a bit, and I also wanted a shallow depth of field.

Kids are a bugger to photograph, I'm guessing you didn't get this first time ;), but my word you nailed that one! I was guessing f/2 on the aperture btw.

Hmmm, gonna struggle with this one. I have friends aplenty but asking them to pose for photographs is like trying to eat nettles.

Doesn't have to be posed Tom, theme is "people" not "portrait" :).

...and here's a photograph I took a few years back, surreptitiously, of a tired Spaniard on a train leaving Barcelona in the early evening. Shot on film, ISO400 IIRC, quite dark in there so I had to boost it a little.

Taken Dec. 2008. My nephew organised a music event here in Qatar and this young lady was one of the guest DJ's. She wanted to do some modelling for her calender and i just leeched a ride with the pro photographers with here. I ahve fiddled with it a bit on Lightroom.
