And you call this a FFA Dragonraid ?

I call it an elitist "You have to be exactly the most optimum class/spec ONLY and everyone unlucky enough to play a class which isnt pefectly suited to kill the dragon can bugger off and go elsewhere" raid.

Reminds me of Men in Black recruitment scene somehow.

"WE ARE HERE CAUSE WE ARE THE BEST OF THE BEST OF THE BEST, SIR!"

Have fun.

organise a raid. take you cabby. hell as your such a great class take 3fg of cabbies, you can heal afteral cant you. And then come back and tell us WHY the 3fg has to be of a particular setup.

now if was taking 200people then sure take your cabby, but moment you put him in you make the raid weak. Unless you can give us some reason why you would be so good and which class you would replace. If you can come up with valid reasons there i would be interested in what you say

Very smooth raid, well organized, well ran.

I always felt sorry for constantly leaving out some players out of my own raids, again and again, but I can't take the risk of making the whole raid weaker. Fair enough, even with 'fotm' setup, I have seen wipeouts, and very long (1.5 hour) fights, just because people weren't listening.

As Yussef has said, Ryo, the moment you make your own raid is the first moment you can comment others.

I wasnt even intersted in the raid. And I do organize my own (ML)raids because neither my Hunter on Avalon nor my Cabby(s) on Prydwen, not even my Friar is usually one of the classes that are a must-have. And no, I do not compose it of 3 fg Cabbys or Hunters or whatever, but neither will I set up a raid where theres no place at all for any of those classes, or Scouts, or Infis or BDs or Thanes or SBs or whoever has as hard a time to get groups

I wasnt grumpy because *I* couldnt join this raid. It was just the absolute rigid Group/Class/Number/Spec planning which was so ridiculously the total opposite of a "FFA" raid and that completely shut out all the non-essential classes that made me angry. If you cant understand that you must play one of them. Oh Yussef the Pala. Go figure.

And Yussef, I dont care if you think I may or may not comment on other peoples raids or not.

I play a sorc, a necro, a merc, a friar, and just about every other alb class thou not all 50. Now "IF" you run a dragon raid, and you put in cabbies, wizzies, etc etc, guess waht your going to fail. Moment you put in these classes into a 3fg raid your totally fucked to put it bluntly. They bring nothing to the raid, and hence they are a liability. You want them on a dragon raid then go ahead and make it. As said i would like to know the setup you would use as i think it just impossible to fit them into a 3fg raid and for it to be completed in any time that is worthwhile. ie 7 hrs to do a dargon raid as only 4 people actually doing dmg aint my idea of fun. 30minutes as you got 18 or so hitting it is much more effecient

Read that quote please. My post wasnt about exchanging any of the needed chars with unneeded chars. And if you go as far as reading my FIRST reply again, you would notice that my point only was that this raid was being called a "FFA" raid while at the same time completely shutting out any "non-essential" classes.

Bubble has taken both scouts and infiltrators on dragon raids.

Now, by all means blame Mythic that casters have such a hard time hitting epic mobs, I have a sorcerer and yes it sucks to be that ineffective on raids, but don't blame someone who pulls his finger out to arrange public raids for trying to make them work as best he can.

If it makes you feel better, call them public sign-ups rather than FFA.

Silly Ryo

only classes who cannot add anything to this type of raid are wizzies and cabalists. All other classes were present

Ryo, its his raid, its his rules (and bubble for the record is quite reasonable).

Every week there is a scout there and every week there are infiltrators there.

If you want to raid the dragon, setup your own freeforall another day of the week. Theres seven nights in a week Bub's raid is on one of them, go fight him on one of the other 6 days.

As other posts say go blame mythic for spells being resisted so much against epic mobs.

Heck I bet if there were no dragon raids at all people would whine about that too.

One week bubble was so nice to people he left with no loot of his own at all, all the stress of leading the raid for no self profit in the end. So please stop bashing him he does the realm a great service.

I explained this when i first used the term 'FFA'
If you knew your server history you would know that the dragon was mainly farmed once a week with a Signup raid and 3+ times a week with raids by a Certan Guild ^^ What was ment by FFA is you are welcome to signup without Guild/Alliance requirements or without even knowing me (As i previous did Guild ones only etc).

I don't bring Cabalists because of 2 reasons- There pet causes Blank Glares, because the pet is always lagging behind the cabbie or always /stuck to the dragon, no Cabbie can react fast enough to move his pet away from the raid force. Also Cabbies unlike every other class, can offer nothing in a high level mob battle, while in a normal group they have Crowd control and Good debuffs and Direct damage, with the nerfs to MW they are reduced to melee.
(I have taken a wizard to earthen Buff the group hes in and to Damage shield the Main tank)

Since you are offended by the term 'FFA' dispite how i explained it i have Called it a Signup Raid.

I don't believe in carrying dead weight, it's why I optimise setups to ensure efficiency and success. That's why my setups never included Infils/Cabalists/Wizards as they cannot really offer anything unique or effective to a raid. The Dragon is quite volatile and requires optimisation, reaction and ability wise. Yes you are "QQ'ing" regarding the difficulties you have faced as a Cabalist before, it's pretty obvious.

You had no clue regarding the FFA term either, if you want to zerg it with a mixture of classes, organise one. Don't be fucking deconstructive when there's no need if you're not even interested. Raid leaders do not operate at your beck and call, if you do not like it, organise one yourself. Sadly that hardly even happens generally, wonder why :|
