Question Fast direct TCP transfers

Hi - I know it's possible to use IRC client and DCC to transfer files directly, but are there ways to do so in, say, Skype or other more standard and user friendly apps?

They probably all go through a server somewhere on the way to the recipient.

You could always setup an FTP server.

You can drop a file on Skype chat and it transfers over.

Nope m8 soz, didn't try large files also and ofc it might depend on many variables.
Worth a try i guess none the less
