doubt it... they dont usually release stuff so close to christmas.. unless its before.. because they know people do not have the money.. its simple economics... amazon also has that date...

ye i know what u mean but... they said "open beta" would start in december, so if they start it 31st december and release the game 4th february it would still mean ~1 month of testing, which sounds a tad too much to me

so i think they'll start the beta around 17th december or so and release the game 3 weeks later (~7th january).

ye it's the same, only that they call it final beta test instead of open beta (u might not be able to join if u don't have a key, so it's not really "open" hence "final") and i suggest u preorder the game + beta key thingy.

not too sure but i jsut cancled my pre order from amazon.co.uk, to order from game.uk.com which i belive has a deal with blizzard to let its pre order customes into closed beta in a week/fortnight, not too sure though, but what the hell.

if i get in i get in and itll gimme more time to play a pally

oh btw saw someone on wow-europe forums saying the deal was with game and when you look at the wow game info at game.uk.com it says pre order today be the first to play, might be beta? not sure.

As far as i know you only get beta keys with preorder if you go to a game shop in person and pay some kind of deposit, so you cant get the beta key preorder version online (for some stupid reason but thats what ppl got told in the reply mails from game.com.)

I know this might be a really stupid question to a lot of peeps, but i could not get on beta for WOW left it to late and hear that it might not be out till March 04 thats 5+ months yet

So why are people leaving DAOC for WOW now????? or are they just having 5 months break till WOW comes out or is there a way of playing WOW now?

as of friday when u pre order you get a cd that lets you into the final beta of the EU, which is a closed beta prior to the Open beta

Therefore its safe to assume that this closed beta, which blizzard have said will start in december, will last about a month and then the open beta will happen which means basically from next week onwards we can play wow

Also even though retail wont be out till february i think many of us were so pissed with daoc that NF just was the nail in the coffin.

Your assuming they mean closed beta and not final stress test/open beta, which would in all intensive purposes be the final beta.
