No, the guy in question isn´t playing. But the guy with the "it´s your fault" and "pay his subs to reopen his acc if you want the money back" is.

If people are making mistakes when setting prices, then it´s not a biggie. We´ve seen this kind of mistakes a number of times before. But if it happens, I´d consider it common courtesy to apologize (..on behalf of maybe if it´s a guildie) for the mistake and try to sort the problem, not blaff a cheeky "your fault" into the face of the guy who lost the money. Because otherwise it just looks like the guy is deliberately trying to rip off money from his customers.

Thorwyn: You forgot one thing: haggus admited, he haven't lost a cent, but the thread is a hoax to extort money from someone who made a mistake. And he did it without trying to talk to anyone about the mistake.

1st: if you have a problem with someone it is polite to speak with him / his guild first.
2nd: "Hey you are a guildmaster if you don't want bad rep for you and your guild, give me 20p, because I can lie well" isn't an action you would like against you or your guild, right? Haggus just done it
Unlike ANY mistake with prices it is intentional abuse from haggus, and is done in bad faith. It hurts people in many way.

He certainly used the board for an abuse, tried to scam people out of money by posting lies. Common extortion.

Rellik: Lets see how many noones you talk about? Besodes the person who got attacked, also there are people, who think it isn't nice, when they trust someone, and thist trust (that you tend to belive in their words) is abused for an attempted scam. You might ask FH stafff if they are happy when their board is used for scamming and other kinds of abuse. And what haggus did wasn't a mistake.

No it wasn't a mistake, but was worth a try Didn't work though so I admited it. I don't see the problem there. It may have been a mistake and he proberly didn't mean to put it on for 20p. And I didn't mean to take the 20p from him, even if he did it on purpose. I don't see the problem here.

Esselinithia I guess you are sticking up for him as you proberly know him. But if it had been on purpose and I had of lost 20p. I would like to see your responce then.

If it would be intentional, I would probably side with you, but sadly it is a very different sitauion, mostly because you haven't checked with any from the involved guild.

While the guild in daoc is realy inactive (when prydwen crashed, some people was quick to open a wow section of guild and great majority went for it) it is still a living community. It isn't fun running around in wow to try to fix your problem in daoc and finding out it was for nothing.

Haggus: People who doesn't check the prices won't remember your post. And one thing to note: If I would close my account for months (maybe reopen with next expansion decision) I would put items on CM for real high prices with one purpose: Would give money to friends, and they would buy these items from CM. With this, the CM pays the rent for the house. The only thing why I know, Dupos haven't put high price on potion intentionally because we can talk with each other in wow, etc But you are responsible for your purchases, and be aware of the fact, people use high prices to keep their houses open.
