Sign ups for the CPMRAL will be open until the start of April, once we get the webby up and running, which is about the time I'd imagine the next season of the BWRA3L to kick off after the pre-season RA3 cup which is due to start shortly(?).

If teams were going to pull out midway then I'd imagine they'd do it anyway to join the Sav or Jolt CPMRA league, even if BW weren't running one.

I won't be allowing teams to switch from BWRA3L to CPMRA mid season of both leagues, so if a team isn't signed up to the CPMRA league before the signups close then they'll have no reason to pull from the BWRA3L mid season, therefore making it worth their while staying the course in BWRA3 until the seasons end at the very least.

I always expect teams to fulfil their responsibilities to a league admin if they sign up for a league, and play each and every week unless they just can't get enough players. So if a team is signing (or has signed) up to Fixers RA3 league, I'd expect them to finish the season, cos otherwise they (the clan) are not worth the trouble.

One of my pet hates is clans that sign up for a league and don't show for half their games, or pull out mid-season, so I'd ask teams that if they're going to sign up for both RA3 and CPMRA, that they do their damndest to complete their season in both leagues.

I'm not doing this league to spite Fix, sabotage his league, or to prove a point - far from it, BWRA3L is a very enjoyable and well run league to participate in. The reason I'm doing this is for those clans that want to play CPMRA on BW instead of, or in addition to Fix's RA3 league.

I agree on the fact that teams who sign up for bwra3l should stick to it until the end of it, as they know what is going on with CPMARA and crt's RA3, if they don't want to play RA3 anymore they they should not sign up to bwra3l.

If they sign up they play it until its end, and if they can play both RA3 and CPMA RA3 they can ALSO sign up for CPMARA league, but tbh there's no valuable reason that could make them sign up to bwra3l and they leave it at mid season thus annoying alot their bwra3l opponents and of course, all bwra3l admins.

Smash, on the other hand, the fact that Sar is running another RA league with CPMA inside, could be the best way to preserve the bwra3l with crt's RA3, for those who want it as long as there will be people willing to play crt's RA3.
If a large majority of people began to prefer CPMA to RA3 and there wasn't Sar's league, you can imagine what would happen to bwra3l and to those willing to play RA3 and not CPMA.
I think this BW CPMARA League is the best thing that can happen to both CPMA pm 0 and RA3 lovers, from my pov at least.

You kind of missed my point. I mean clans such as ! (sorry to keep using u lads as an example but I just know of u are pro-CPMA but are staying in bwra3l - i'm sure there are others) who are staying in the BWRA3L. What happens if they signup for both leagues at the beginning and about halfway through the BWRA3l say - RA3 is interefering with our cpma play which we prefer lets quit the bwra3l.

Thats the prob and I'm sure the same could happen with pro-RA3 clans who don't/won't like cpma dropping from your league. This might not happen at all but it could well and I just think something should be done to stop it if at all possible

Well there's not an awful lot you can do to stop ppl leaving the league if they don't like RA3 anymore, cos as I said earlier, teams that are going to do that would do it regardless of whether I run a CPMRA league or not, as there are a couple of other CPMRA league in the offing.

The only scenario in which they wouldn't quit RA3 for CPMRA is if there were no CPMRA leagues offered at all.

One suggestion - would BWCQ3CAL be a more apt title? BWCPML already exists (promode tdm), and CQ3CA is technically the correct title for CPMA.RA3.PM0 mode.

Rocket Arena is the gametype in question (Clan Arena isn't the only gametype playable under the RA gametype - 1v1s etc which aren't Clan Arena as such), and CPMA already means Chellenge Pro Mode Arena. So dropping "Rocket" in there in front of the already extant "Arena" avoids having a mouthful as a league name

I'm probably being anal about it, but it is something I had to sit and think over for a few hours the other morning.

In work natch, have to kill the boredom/avoid actual work somehow

As mentioned in the other thread, the website should hopefully be up towards the end of this week, with sign-ups opening for several weeks shortly thereafter.

Once sign-ups close, I'll do an e-mail poll of the clans and get the map list sorted out with the 7 most requested maps from the 13 standard choices. I'll be adding in two custom maps of my choice, and those 9 will form the maplist for the inaugural season of BWCPMRAL

Heh, that's what I was trying to say earlier - if any clan are going to do that for the BWCPMRAL, the chances are pretty high they'd do it anyway even if the BWCPMRAL wasn't in the planning stages, due to there being 2 other CPMRA leagues being offered.

Aye the page is up but I haven't any login details just atm to update various parts of it, so I'll wait until I can update the news etc before I give the URL out "officially".

Think ppl have stopped voting because the league is going ahead now.

But it's coming along, so not too much longer to wait
