But saying some mid things don't need a nerf is like saying you would live if a rocket launcher was fired right at your head xD

skill is when you know when to push that button. no use pushing BOF when a cliffbeetle is attacking your group.

everyone whines about no skill savage assisters
yet most random groups you join, none of them assist, and half the time the ma gets a cliff beetle halfway through the fight with fa, or goes for the paladin as the clerics happily heal it

however we did make a mid grp yesterday, and it was fun :)

Lol Matt, you can't really complain about nerfing the area on VP, I think even Albs would struggle to justify the area when it was first released :D

Oh but that can be very different, the world champion quake3 will always be better than you at pressing the fire and movement buttons 8]

It's not about pressing the button, it's about how you press it, and from pacman to quake3, there's buttons to press, and it's still all pressing buttons, but there's still people 1000x better than others 8]

positioning, knowledge about other classes, fast perception and pure aim and finally knowledge about ones own character is what make a player good in daoc I think. If thats called skill or something else, does it matter? :)

edit: forgot to add in, the ability to work in a team and follow a planned tactic (probably the most important of all).

Hardly a nerf seeing as the armour tables effected everyone, wasn't Hib Scale slash resistant also once? Being slash neutral/crush strong should be an absolute bonus vs. Mids seeing as they have sod all thrust, it's only relatively recently Hibs have started going thrust too. Not really qualified as a nerf imo :p
