To any GM that reads here *wave*.

We Hiblets on Prydwen have had a small issue for about 2 weeks now regarding Erinys Charm (that being that its bugged to fuck and on the final mob the charms just sit in a circle - and this has been experienced around 5 or 6 times).

So this is a request since getting a GM in game when you need them is some what... impossible. So: Jun 1st (tomorrow) im leading yet *another* attempt at it starting from 7pm GMT.

Those coming on the raid would appreciate it if a GM could bring themselves to ensure that either:

a) the encounter has been reset by then
or
b) a GM is online to witness the proceedings; so that should it fuck up, [oh how i refrained from a nasty comment here.. well partially at least] the problem can be corrected.

I would 'rightnow it' if i knew how, could be bothered to, and didnt have auterior methods to contact you. So consider this a plea. We are thoroughly pissed off with doing everythign right, and then getting 'owned' by some retarded bug!

Hate to say it - but log it on Rightnow, be bothered to figure out how to log it.

Working on 3rd line support here, I know for a fact you stand a better chance of getting help if you follow the propper channels, fortunatly the GM's appear nice and read/post here, but to be sure - LOG IT !

What Tears said. Also a little less hostility is more likely to get GM sympathy.

I'm not in the office tomorrow so I won't be able to help however I fixed it for a Hib group on Pryd just the other day - who did it succesfully. It's not that the encounter needs resetting or is 'broken' for your realm and server. There's an entirely preventable issue which can break the encounter at the end. Basically the charms form up in the wrong place if (and only if) you drag them in at right angles to the lava. If you come down to the right spot along the beach, they'll form up properly and cast their spell to summon Samut. We've passed the details on to Mythic and afaik they are working to fix it.

If it gets stuck again tomorrow, there's a GM in the office till 11pm CET every weekday evening, do /who 100 or contact an E&E to get it fixed for you should you need it although I'd suggest leaving the attitude behind.

Try being nice to the GMs, bugs are rarely their fault and if you cant be arsed to rightnow it why the hell should they be arsed to be online outside of their working hours to listen to you abuse them?

The 'hostility' is due to the lack of GM's that have been reachable ingame in the last few weeks (yes even through contacting E&E's) so any 'good will' that you had has long since gone.

Whether you help or not, is upto you. Whether you help or not; also reflects on how you run the server. Sure i might come at you like an asshole, but at least i do so with good reason (this being a fair few hours of wasted raid time due to unreachable GM's).

//edit: and their willingness to help reflects on their customer service. Coming from someone whos done customer support and dealt with people who are more verbal than i. So excuse me for linking their inability to provide ingame support with the overall ability to play the game without hinderence.

also coming from someone here who works on customer support, if i or anyone i work with was spoken to in that manner, we would quite simply have security throw u outta the building.

So to sum it up ... you cba using the propper way to contact them ... pretend that it's a problem that only strikes your realm (poor poor Pryd hiblets Im sure GOA done it on purpose just to annoy you ROFL) have an attitude that would turn your own loving mother against you and then even after a GM replies to you (within an hour after your post I might add) you keep up the attitude?

I'd be immensely surprised if a GM turns up for you tomorrow :p

But then again they're probably above people like you or they wouldn't last a week in the job

Wow, so you complain about "unreachable" gm's, but then say you can't be bothered to RN it or find an E&E.
Perhaps if you bothered to find an E&E or RN it, you wouldn't have so many difficulties.
Apart from weekends, GMs are pretty much always around between 10am and 10-11pm and if you bother to try, you can contact them easily.

Its funny how everybody with a complaint is suddenly an expert in the area they're complaining about. Just like with the lag people were saying "and I should know this because I work for the internet!!"

If you changed your attitude and perhaps tried to come across as less of a jerk and more of a "help me pleae gm's" you might find people would be more sympathetic. Your posts so far in this thread incline me to side with the GM's as you're just acting like a berk.

Posted two problems on RN Sunday early afternoon, Monday early afternoon they were both fixed (well 1 was not because I didnt give enough/right info so was my own fault)

RN has really improved alot, so I suggest you RN your problems!

In general every form of support has increased alot the last year and a half.
Only once have I been let down, but hey, if I had the patience to filed the problem twice OR trough RN im sure it would have been solved within 24 hours

(Contacted an E&E for a buggy Traldor Encounter, the E&E (eggy) left a message at Xalin who didnt show up for 3 hours, so I had to log, found out it was bugged due to player actions abusing a bug, so cant really blame the support)

why all the swearing ?

why couldn't u just ask politely or even normally, for help from a GM.

The GMs don't HAVE to read this forum, they do so to help out.

People need to change their attitude towards the GMs or they may not bother looking on FH.

i once had a daoc problem with rightnow, i was clever enough to make a nice post with the problem i had, the gm xenalythe however its spelt oh and i think a few others got in touch via pm's and we sorted this out.

tbh if you need help ask for it but when you are rude it does not work in your favour. i would imagine the gm's have to put up with rude comments when being asked for help but lets make their jobs a little easier.

It's a known issue anyway, that if you run along the coast the charms will bind at the wrong spot and will not summon Samut. You need to avoid the coastline and arrive more east-ish.

I think our server GM's have been proving time and time again they perform above and beyond the call of duty, so relax a bit.

Nib i don't think its right to say GM's are unreachable.

We had to contact one 3 times yesterday (ML 2.4 and EC) but they logged on pretty much asap.

Coming from a hefty lunch of chicken kebab, I'm obliged to tell you to shut up until you learn some manners.

You know the button we have to allow us to add to a person's reputation saying 'You're great, I approve of your post'?

How about adding one for 'STFU, I don't approve and think of your post, you're behaving like a twat'?

I think I would have used that button in this thread...

It wouldn't have been abused, it's just that there are far too many deserving candidates :(

Who'd have thought it; yesterday a GM was online and helped a group get Erinys Charm done via helping them do it the right way.

Today, the person shown was with us, ensured we ran the charms around the correct way (the same as done yesterday when his group completed the encounter)... and lo and behold, we were all shocked when....

It bugged.

So, off we went to find ourselves an E&E, and 15 minutes later, one comes online; Can you get a GM online please we asks?

And our response: Sorry at the moment there isn't a GOA GM online :<
