I have read the first book of Eragon now, and ordered the 2nd, and want something that is quite similar to that(Fantasy books like LOTR etc).

So I was wondering if any of you had read something you want to share with me.

I also found one triology that seemed rather intresting (Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud), and wondered if anyone had read it? And could give me some advice if I should buy it or not.

the bartimaeus trilogy is awesome, basically a power hungry kid and a trickster djinni taking on the world, very funny :)

(but nothing like LoTR)

Magician; Silverthorn; and Darkness at Sethanon - by Raymond E. Feist

Staggeringly brilliant fantasy that will have you addicted from the first page.

hehe theres a book at the library i work in called Barry Trotter and theres a series of them like "Barry Trotter and the unnecessary sequal" any hoo heres a webby thing http://www.barrytrotter.com/ the character glossary looks funny.

i havent read it but im tempted lol.

another that i havent read but is on my to read list (yes i actually have one) is called Stone Heart my history teacher was telling us about it its set in london and it features real statues and gargoyles around the city, at night they have battles and stuff it sounds really cool.

one i am reading atm is called "the dorset squirrels" not fantasy as in wizzards and dragons but its kind of like watership down, really really good book and it has squirrel magic in it.

Hear hear!

Also, The Traveller by Diane Gabaldon. It's not quite like LOTR, but you'll like it for sure.

:D

IIRC, Jordan once said that book 12 would indeed be the end of the series? Or am I (hopefully) completely wrong here? :D

The whole movie was quite good imo.

I love dragons <3

The actors could have performed a bit better though, and it could be a bit longer, as it was there were too much information put into a short time span.

The book is actually quite good, and hard to imagine a 15year old kid has written it, even tho he had lots and lots of help. And thanks for the replys, I'll got lots to read now :D

It says here in the book, that he was 15 when he wrote it. So I guess thats the right answer

If I had to take one fantasy series with me to a deserted island it would be:
George R R Martin - A song of Ice and Fire:
Book one: A Game of Thrones
Book two: A Clash of Kings
Book three: A Storm of Swords
Book four: A Feast for Crows

This is like the Rolls Royce of fantasy. It's amazing stuff. Highly recommended :)

Disclaimer: It's more addictive then DAOC, you have been warned :(

Yeah, just googled it and Wiki says 15 aswell. I'm saying everything wrong today, I should just shut up. :p

Yet I won't!
