my dream was me and a load of friends were hanging about, and smoking some pot, then this girl was there, dont know who she was, was hawt tho. and she had some crack, a drug ive never experienced and dont intent to. anyway, i had a smoke with ehr and got this crazy headache and just felt sick and shit but was still cool and then she had a load of coke, we went to snort some and it went all over her so i helped her brush it off, and then she kicked off at me so i just walked away and smoked some pot then she comes back like with a fuck load of coke and im crazy scared now, id realised i was dreaming coz of the headache. i woke up like 5 times and this girl was in my dream as soon as i went back to sleep witht he same killer headache and everything :S. crazy

To dream that you are in possession of or taking drugs, signifies your need for a "quick fix". You may be turning to a potentially harmful alternative as an instant escape from your problems. Ask yourself why you need the drugs. What do you hope the drugs will achieve for you?

To dream that you have a headache, suggests that you are heading in the wrong direction. You may be repressing your intellect and rational thinking. You need to utilize your mind and not let your emotions get out of control.

Basicly. stop doing drugs :p

what about this dream, i thought it was odd :d

i was driving along in a vw van along a desolate desert road, in the passanger seat was a monkey wearing a pink banana on his head and smoking some skunk. we stopped at a petrol station (which happened to be the one in my area) and i went in and bought a mars bar, i came outside and got back in my van (which was now a motor bike) i then ate my mars bar and drove off into a forest where i met my friend from college doing kick ups with a football, i went up to him to talk to him but next thing i know im swimming somewhere...

then i woke up with an erection.. explain? :(

To dream that you are walking through a desert, signifies loss and misfortune. You may be suffering from an attack on your reputation. Deserts are also symbolic of barrenness, loneliness and feelings of isolation and hopelessness.

To see a monkey in your dream, symbolizes deceit. people are working to advance their own interest. Monkeys also symbolize a playful and mischievous side of your own personality or an immature attitude.

To see chocolate in your dream, signifies self-reward. It also denotes that you may be indulging in too many excesses and need to practice some restraint.

we have already been around bananas ;) To see bananas in your dream, may be a metaphor for repressed sexual urges and desires.
no, it has nothing to do with you wanting to have sex with a monkey.

To see or ride a motorcycle in your dream, symbolizes your desire for freedom and need for adventure. You may be trying to escape from some situation or some other responsibility in your waking life. A motorcycle is also symbolic of raw sexuality.

To dream that you are in or walking through the forest, signifies a transitional phase. You may be following your instincts.

we have also looked at the meaning of friends in dreams. To see your friends in your dream, signifies aspects of your personality that you have rejected, but are ready to integrate these rejected part of yourself. The relationships you have with those around you are important in learning about yourself.

To see or play with a ball in your dream, symbolizes completeness and wholeness. It may also indicate that you need to be more in tune with your inner child.

To dream that you are swimming, suggests that you are exploring aspects of your unconscious mind and emotions. The dream may be a sign that you are seeking some sort of emotional support. It is a common dream image for people going through therapy.

lots in this one

To dream that you are being chased, signifies that you are avoiding a situation that you do not think is conquerable. It is often a metaphor for some form of insecurity. In particular, to dream that you are chased by an animal, represents your own unexpressed and unacknowledged anger which is being projected onto that animal. Alternatively, you may be running away from a primal urge or fear.

To see a shadowy figure in your dream, represents aspects of this figure which you have not acknowledged or incorporated into your own personality. Alternatively, it symbolizes the young, the helpless or the under-developed.

To dream that you are immobile, signifies feelings of being trapped or that you are rigid in your attitudes and decisions.

One dream I use to have constantly.

Was just me in a room (of some sort) holding a HUGE block of sand (as in like, building size, from what I recall) and every second it got smaller and smaller till it disappeared and made my hands/arms feel all weird holding nothing.

Explain that one.

Also, explain why some dreams you have carry on the next night/week etc. (Doesnt repeat, contiunes pretty much from where you woke up last)

I haven't had a nightmare for years, but had one tonight.

Saw everything in first-person by the way.

Was dreaming that I was with some friends just hanging around I think. Can't recall it totally. Then as I get into the toilet, I see a figure behind me in the mirror. With a blue T-shirt. Then I think the mirror blurred out. Don't remember exactly though.

Then as I get out of the toilet I turn around, and my friend's big brother is sitting in there, I ask him "were you sitting there the whole time" and he says "yes" I think it's pretty creepy as he wasen't the guy in the mirror.

And then I "feel" like waking up, I try to scream as it was getting creepy, but no sound came out. Then I felt two "ghost-like-thingies" in the room. I'm sure they're ghosts at least, or was in the dream. I tell them to get out of my apartment, to move from the place. They seem to accept, but just as they're nearly out of the doorway, one turns around. And I see he is a fan of the opposit team of mine. I dunno how I see it though. From then on it's a battle between me and the ghosts. I have some kind of forcepushing me down, so I constantly try pushing it away with my hands. As I finally get through, it seems that I've defeated the ghosts and I wake up.

To see sand in your dream, signifies a shift in perspective or a change in your attitude. Consider also the familiar phrase, "the sands of time" in which it may be suggesting that you are wasting your time or letting time pass you by.

To see objects shrinking in your dream, indicates that they are not as important as they once were.

The block of sand probably signifies something that was once a BIG part of your life, but now, with the shrinking it seems to be getting alittle pointless, boring or time consuming.
The fact that you feel strange without holding the block of sand probably mean that even though this is not what it used to be for you, you still have trouble letting go due to the simple fact that it might have been a part of your life for a quite a while.

Hmm been around a few of these :)

To see your friends in your dream, signifies aspects of your personality that you have rejected, but are ready to integrate these rejected part of yourself. The relationships you have with those around you are important in learning about yourself. Additionally, this symbol foretells of happy tidings from them and the arrival of good news.

To see a toilet in your dream, symbolizes a release of emotions or getting rid of something in your life that is useless.

To see your own reflection in the mirror, suggests that you are pondering thoughts about your inner self. The reflection in the mirror is how you perceive yourself or how you want others to see you. You may be contemplating on strengthening and changing aspects of your character.

The screaming but no sound comming out was in your last dream aswell. which means whatever this is a symptom of has not been resolved; If you try to scream, but no sound comes out, then is suggests that you need to immediately confront some situation. Perhaps you are unable to pinpoint your fears or feelings.

we had another person with a ghost in his dream aswell. In general, ghosts symbolizes aspects of yourself that you fear. This may involve a painful memory, guilt, or some repressed thoughts. You may be afraid of death and dying. Alternatively, ghosts are representative of something that is no longer obtainable or within reach. It indicates a feeling of disconnection from life and society. This dream may be a calling for you to move on and abandon your outdated modes of thinking and behavior.

To dream that you are pushed or being pushed, signifies that you are being pressured or feel coerced into doing something. Alternatively, it implies your need for perfection. You may be finding that you do not have enough time to complete a task.

Whats having dreams about gay sex mean?

If you are heterosexual and you dream that you are having sex with someone of the same sex, signifies not necessarily homosexual desire, but an expression of greater self love and acceptance. You need to be in better touch of your feminine or masculine side.

I was joking :p

How about dreams where you know you're dreaming... and you can take advantage of the dream, like flying around a lake with a special someone... or not having fear in the dream because you're thinking to yourself 'its only a dream'

Lucid dreaming :)
Lucid Dreaming is knowing that you are dreaming while you are doing it. When you know that you are dreaming, you can also alter the dream course. And with practice you can also develop full control over your dream, you will be able to create and change the environment and change your own appearance. It will be you that are in control of the dream scenario. You can do whatever you want to do. Live out your wildest fantasy, or just sit down and chit chat with someone. You should also be open for the possibility to share dreams and travel in time and space when you develop adequate control over your dreams. The word Lucid means that you have a clear and full consciousness. And believe me when I say that Lucid Dreaming can be much more fun than waking reality.

I have had some incredible times doing this :) but be careful.
Doing it too much is not healthy for you.

Recurring dreams repeat themselves with little variation in story or theme. These dreams may be positive, but most often they are nightmares. Dreams may recur because a conflict depicted in the dream remains unresolved and ignored. Once you have found a resolution to the problem, your recurring dreams may cease.

Most dreams contain messages that serve to teach us something about ourselves. Unfortunately many a times we forget what we dream about as we go about our daily routine. With recurring dreams, the message may be so important and/or powerful that it just will not go away. The frequent repetition of such dreams forces you to pay attention and confront the dream. The dream is trying desperately to tell you something. Such dreams are often nightmarish or frightening in their content, which also helps you to take notice and pay attention to them. Recurring dreams are quite common and are often triggered by a certain life situation or a problem that keeps coming back again and again. These dreams may recur daily, once a week, or once a month, but whatever the frequency, there is little variation in the dream content itself. It usually points to a personal weakness, fear, or your inability to cope with something in your life - past or present.

Number of informative websites on dreaming :) you are right i'm not able to remember ALL the symbols so i sometimes have to go look it up in a book or look to a website for help to formulate a concise reply. Also quite a few great books you could read :)

Well, it aint exactly a dream I guess.

But remember this once when I "woke" up. I didn't really wake up! Or my eyes did, I could only move my eyes and look around, the rest of the body was like freezed to the bed. I even saw this "thing" walking towards me, and I was sweating like hell, I was so freaking scared. But I couldn't move anything at all. I was like that for maybe 4-5seconds, when I was able to move my body again the "thing" had disappeared.(Guess I was just hallucinating, or however it is spelled). Well I just walked upstairs took some water, and went to bed again!

ooh ooh theres a thing i know about that Chosen!!!

there was this dream folk used to have called The Hag, basically this old woman or something sat on them and they couldnt move (or in some cases breath) the people used to say thay an enimy must have enchanted them or they'd been visited by a witch but later a scientist did some tests and saw that theres lack of oxygen in the blood or something....

im remembering this from a book i read in middle school (whick was so long ago that the book was actually a carved stone tablet and the school was actually a gully in the primordial forrest) so it might be a bit ropey but i think thats it.

To dream that you are paralyzed, may reflect the current state of your body while you are dreaming. During the REM state of sleep you really are immobile and paralyzed. However symbolically, dreaming that you are paralyzed may mean you are feeling helpless or pinned down in some aspect or circumstances of your waking life. You may feel unable to deal with a situation or that you can't do or change anything. Alternatively, you may feel emotionally paralyzed. You may have difficulties in expressing yourself.

What you might have experienced though is what is called sleep paralysis.
I have met several people who has tried this. Most times this is associated with feelings of panic. It is NOT harmful, although most people report feeling very afraid because they do not know what is happening, and within a short period of time they gradually or abruptly are able to move again; the episode is often terminated by a sound or a touch on the body.

Believe it or not, i actually had a conversation about this with a friend of mine just last night. She said she could never remember who dreams either.
Getting plenty of sleep is the first step to good dream recall. If you are rested it will be easier to focus on your goal of recalling dreams, and you won't mind so much taking the time during the night to record your dreams. Another benefit of getting plenty of sleep is that dream periods get longer and closer together as the night proceeds. The first dream of the night is the shortest, perhaps 10 minutes in length, while after 8 hours of sleep, dream periods can be 45 minutes to an hour long. We all dream every night, about one dream period every 90 minutes. People who say they never dream, like yourself, simply never remember their dreams. You may have more than one dream during a REM (dream) period, separated by short arousals that are most often forgotten. It is generally accepted among sleep researchers that dreams are not recalled unless the sleeper awakens directly from the dream, rather than after going on to other stages of sleep.

so basicly you may not be getting enough sleep or you might just not wake up for that crucial couple of seconds needed to store the dream in your memory.

To dream that you are in a theater, signifies that you will derive much pleasure from new companionships. Consider also how the performance parallels to situations in your waking life. Observe how the character or characters relate to you and how they may represent an aspect of yourself. You may be taking on a new role.

To see a comedian in your dream, suggests that you need to be more carefree. You are feeling overburdened from your daily problems and need an outlet to release all that tension. You need to learn to laugh at yourself and not take yourself so seriously.

To see your friends in your dream, signifies aspects of your personality that you have rejected, but are ready to integrate these rejected part of yourself. The relationships you have with those around you are important in learning about yourself.
