As you know well, most solo players do not mind dying provided that they have had a clean 1v1. It's just incredibly frustrating when playing solo to constantly get jumped by lemons (as you'd call them) who can only make RPs by attacking someone in numbers.

That for some though is the challenge of stealth RVR.To overcome these odds.Just ask Nuxto about the time as a duo we beat 7 hibs stealths on Agramon bridge....... Or when ive seen Cyclodia take down 2 or 3 sbs.

Was albs tho (1 pala) .. and 1 ranger just after fight jumped me as i was low health .. and u used FZ to save me

And the best thing aint a 'clean 1vs1'. The best thing is a fight (even with multiple enemies) ... where u actually have a realistic chance to win. And when u start the fight counting the odds... not to have additional incs to bring u down.

<sigh> Censi in his heart never truly hated the sz scene which he helped create.His sz guild just abandoned him for other things and then he discovered the SZ irc chan and started to listen to the leetboys of the time with their 'honourable' style of play.This then spilled onto FH and the decline of Dyvet(and FH ) began................. Oh well he was for a time a role model to some young boys of DAOC and their wishes to be solo, leet and often dead stealthers!(just like Censi) A true legend of the game (no sarcasm on this)

no real surprise that PM aint active. the server is pretty much dead. I think our 1-3 active members is prolly porportional to its decline. If I was active I could certainly do something about it, but I cba... just postponing the inevitable...

one things for sure though, censimilia will ride forth again for a last tango on the the stinking ship that is dyvet or daoc in general... and ill be solo and playing respectfully.

you should not be getting torn to shreds by a hunter....

you should be loosing to a hunter if he IP's and uses purge and outjumps you.

otherwise you should be completly outdamaging a hunter and dropping them fast. classes with no defense (aka you aint gonna get a melee class with less defense than a hunter) is a dream fight for an inf because you can unleash your DPS on your target without having to worry about getting perma blocked or parried etc.

if I played an inf and lost to a hunter without him IP'ing I would cry hard tbh because it would be my fault somewhere along the line.

it tends to be random though I noticed.. sometimes you evade a lot and kill a hunter with like 80% hp left, sometimes you dont evade at all and end up getting 4 shoted Though yeah you're right, I died to Haldar's rr4 hunter twice today and it was my fault tbh, cause first fight I used remedy , then after I stunned him, instead of continuing with hamstring etc, i drank a heal pot ( no idea why ), so rest of the fight i was ooe, cause couldnt drink an endurance pot. Second time he jumped me first and I did the same mistake again, drank end pot just after stun

they were more OP with old FZ than they are now. pretty much with FZ you jumped an assasin waited till you had it to 50% hit purge 1 and FZ... assasin = dead

I woudnt say they were a joke now. I would say they are fine (when u consider the type of shit thats out there nowadays)

Hunters were one of the strongest classes at the release of DAoC but got nerfed big time. Folks like Blood and co were to be feared. Hell, Blood was bloody fearsome even after getting nerfed

Tbh i find it funny to see assassins moan at hunters being "OP"

what censi said anyway, played my sword hunter when assassins debuff was pure STR, that was fun. Assassins always have been the toughest class for a hunter and if you fail to kill one you should be looking at yourself before shouting nerf.

And I never said nerf, if you read my posts, I just said that lately I'm being torn to shreds by them , ofc having a very old template helps Most of those loses were my fault as well. When playing assasin you have to be fast and the smallest mistake can be deadly, (and I do a lot of those ) totally different when I go out on my merc, the class better defense and hp lets me make more mistakes, be less fast on reflexes and still perform quite well. If you solo on a shield tank you can do a lot of mistakes and generally get outplayed and yet you still can win.

Censi, you of all people would understand why I would become frustrated being killed off by 4 or 5 people though?

You've fought alb stealth zergs before and I'd bet my MoZ that you would be annoyed if they took you down two or three times in a row

I'm not saying you would freak out or get pissed, but annoyed is more gentle

And yes, I tend to go down kicking and screaming if I do get jumped but I won't be able to take down more than one or two if 3 jumped me. I'm not good enough

So you can honestly say that if you got zerged down by 4 inf's and 1 scout 3 or 4 times in a row, you would never get annoyed? Not even a bit?

If not, then you're truly a player who deserves a reward of some kind

And since when have Arms been FOTM? When I retired 10 months ago there were only three or four Arms playing regularly that I can recall...

Killing would mean death penalty.

There is no such thing in DAoC.

You release, buff and go again.

As you don't lose anything there is no reason at all to stealth zerg.

Unless you are some kind of scum and can't get anything going alone. Like most stealthers.

its not like theres a competative 3v3 scene or say 4v4 scene. peeps /invite in game friends to rvr with because thats the fooking point of the game regardless of what class you are...

if that doesnt appeal to you then you go out solo, knowning that the solo end game is somewhat punishing and unforgiving, but undetered by that you continue never the less. if you dont like it then dont do it. but this isnt lameness this is just what daoc is...
