After looking on Ebay at the account prices that some people bid at, I was shocked to see how much those things can go for, Aswell as that, I noticed you can buy 5plat for summin like £45 roghly. What are your opinions on this? And do you think its a good idea!

Before you flame monkeys kick off ranting on about they are a good thing!! And i shouldnt be saying otherwise, Please read again. Im asking your opinions, Im not for or against it :)

People will pay stupidly high prices for any old shit on Ebay, some guy on General sold some shitty old picture of one of his school friends for 110 quid apparently.

I have an MD recorder and a brand new Mokia 7210 on eBay for low low prices and noone has bid on them at all and there is still two days to go. Well, I had one bid on the phone but nothing else.

As soon as I put up 10plat for £85 or 5plat for £40, they get snapped up.

It's a bit like selling Monopoly money and I've made £1000 from selling stuff that noone should want.

Conclusion - other people do different things. Take advantage.

Why the crap would I want to spend my money on something tangible/useful?!

How much did you make selling your accounts apathy? If you dont mind me asking.

Already said - £1000. Well, £977. I am going to get a tshirt made made for myself that says "I played DAOC for two years and all I got was a G4 PowerBook with a screen as big as my dick!".

Fucking stingy DAOC ****s. I should have a 17" PowerBook, not the 12" one.

http://www.apple.com/uk/powerbook/index12.html It's still very nice, of course.

Anyway. If I want something that can be bought instead of having to work for it, I will just buy it. Most of the things WORTH having can't be bought so I may as well save my energy and put it towards getting the things that aren't for sale on eBay.

See? The people who buy DAOC stuff on eBay are the smart ones, taking advantage of the two years I wasted. Not that I am bitter.

If some idiot will buy it, then why not sell it?
People who sell = clever as they make RL money, people who buy = idiots imo ;)

I don't understand why GOA'a Terms & coditions don't allow for the selling/trading of accounts. They keep getting subs money instead of no cash from that account.

Also when someone puts a lot of time into the game, paying out a tidy sum to do so, what's wrong with getting something back?

If DAoC's Exp grind wasn't so shit then there would be no need to buy/sell/trade accounts imo.

Its not hard to work out when an accoutn has been traded (especially when the person admits it themselves!) but they sort of ignore it unless it becomes a problem.

So its against the CoC but only when they want it to be :)

If GOA come and try to put me in jail, I will tell them to submit the arrest warrant to me via RightNow.

When I bought this game I had never played a mmorog (or whatever) or any role playing game for that matter so had no idea that getting to level 50 could be so time consuming. I did it twice and now I really can't be bothered with doing it any more. You're the one talking crap, so you like leveling characters. Bully for you. I don't. Bully for me.
