personaly, i would never sell my account to anything else than a good friend.. Couse then, if you want to get back into daoc, you might get to bye the account back from that friend, or atleast play the char from time to time for old times sake

Selling an account to a friend is ok i spose, but Blejs acc is a bit too much really to be sold to a random person, it will take them a while to get used to the char and get full use out of it, which Blejs has been doing well Accounts with low lvls and lvl 50's that are low RR etc and not very well known in their realm probably wont be much of a fuss. imo Blesj should give all his stuff to every1 in his guild/realm and sell the account as an empty one or just take a break xD

if yer looking at the average price of $12 /1p on the US this account is laughably cheap, +/- 200p cash, house worth 40p, trophies worth about 20p, items worth about 100p-150p total and then not to mention the char itself, really with the cash/items alone in theory it's worth arround $8600 and then you'd get a free char with it xD

still sorry to see ppl go tho, esp at such cheap prices

Some people do make money out of DAoC, E.G: Buy a new account, With SI + Toa on it, Make a necro to level 50, Buy another account, powerlevel a char to 50,take it rvr, sc it etc then do the same..... its been done before i think. If thats what people wana do for a living, well....its just sad.

nice example from europe of "making money with games" is http://www.schroet.com/ , these guys give lessons counter-strike and some of them win like 200.000 $ a year just by playing counter-strike.....

I don't know of many countries where you can legally buy a pair of knickers, allegedly soiled by schoolgirls. The fact that such items are on sale, shows there's a demand for them. Actually, the japanese government recently put a ban on selling used underwear (at least in Tokyo anyway).

This discussion could go on - sure, the crime rate in Japan is significally smaller than in other countries, but on the other hand they have twice the suicide percentage that the US does.

Sure, they might have a more liberal view on sex than many other countries, but on the other hand there are still a lot of discrimination and chauvinism in the japenese society.

And the list could go on and on and on. The botom line is that all societies have their good and bad points. Japan isn't any better or worse than any other country.

As you said its a very small Minority which has been stopped and made Illegal, it annoys me when Small minded people put labels on a whole Country due to the actions of a few years ago.

(And yes i am an anime fan, who over the last few years has taken an interest in Japanese Culture and society, this by no means makes me an expert...From your posts i'd also say your no expert, i hope for your sake you never leave your house, the world might scare you to know whats some people get up too!
