People who have tried their friends character in RvR and want to get their own but dont have the time for levelling and getting gear to do it? Let's say it would took 100 days /played for an avarage player to get lvl50, good gear and highish RR and someone would pay something stupid like £5000 - That would still be just 5000£/2400h= ~£2/h. Instead of using his time on leveling he could farm £100/hour in real life for example Oo And indeed, its just an game but so what? Sure, there is no "real" value on it, its just something you do for entertainment - pretty much same as renting a motorcycle for a week to have fun, after the week is gone the cash is wasted and all you have is your memories of having fun.

...Or something like that?

When you think of the 1000's of hours it takes to make a RR5+ character with the best equipment then a weeks wages isnt really that much for the amount of time you save not having to 'grind' in a game that one huge timesink. If you want to get into RvR and fast there is no alternative but to buy a existing account, for many people a 12 month 'grind' just to get to the good part is not an option.

the saddest thing about it is that this person has obviously been on a loads of raids and things and got the items over some poor casual player who is still playing but don't have all those cool pieces of equipment cos this l337z0r has them, and is now selling them! i think thats the greatest insult really

Sad thing is that some people spend 5-7 rl hours to get a good item (if lucky) and some rich prick gets them for a laughable amount of cash (if you think of hourly payment)
