ECW is shite tbh. They're trying to change it's image but it won't work. People liked ECW for it's hardcore style, now you're lucky to get one hardcore match. I can't see it lasting in all honesty, as word has it alot of the talent backstage are very unhappy and are thinking of jumping ship to TNA. :-/

No i do not think its real don't be ignorant, just like a golfer could not start playing premiership football some one used to a short real fight with lots of breaks could not wrestle a scrippted wrestling match.

Wrestlers if you like it or not are sportsmen who are very fit and train to do what they do and if you think just any one could step in a do what they do you are very wrong. I think its sad that you can't accept scripted or not wrestlers are alot more than roided up prancers.

And if UFC fighters tried fighting 3 times a week i wonder if they would be roided up???

I filmed one of those American wrestling things once, in Sheffield.

We filmed a backstage 'fight' between 2 big muscly women (tonnes of makeup).

Every aspect of the fight was planned beforehand, and rehearsed several times before we shot it. The footage was then played out 'as live', to appear as though they were fighting during the broadcast. The American crew I was with took the whole thing very seriously.

Kiddies TV. Chucklevision is miles better.

You can actually look at early day UFCs when wrestlers competed and for the most part got de_stroyed.

No please reply again, I like wrestling, it is fun and brainless entertainment. I have been to a few live shows and it is very apparent how little contact there is. It looks better on TV, they choose good camera angles. Someone getting their face smashed in with a ladder in wrestling means that someone screwed up. UFC etc are real fighting, WWE etc are stunt men and performers putting on a good show.

Is it though? I'd imagine WWE is a different (homosexual) skill set. Just because the (slightly fruity) skills invovled in UFC means that they could beat up someone doing WWE, doesn't mean they could hack a WWE match. Not that they'd get beaten up, but it's just a different bunch of skills required.

That said, I don't care - it's all not too subtle homoerotic tomfoolery and it doesn't appeal to me in the slightest.

Im sure there was some talk not long ago about a WWE/UFC style match taking place, apparently Kurt Angle was going to do it before "quitting" WWE.

ECW i watch very little of, theres only a few wrestlers i watch, CM Punk and RVD at most, and i hear the recent PPV for ECW was less than satisfactory, ECW will be heading into the shitter with the removal of Paul Heyman, as well as a strong possibility that their main attraction - RVD could very well be going to TNA as his contract expires very soon.

They have lost a lot of star power recently, Big Show, Kurt Angle, soon to be RVD... Its going to die i thinky.

Don't know about Eurosport but ive seen it on TWCfight channel 427 on Sky.Noticed it when i was watching old episodes of World of Sport,now that's real wrestling.

Big Show has not gone anywhere.....

Angle did not quit, he was told to stop wrestling or he was going to risk permenent paralysis or death. WWE did not want the risk.

I doubt RVD will go to TNA, he likes attention and he will not get enough at TNA.
