A friend has asked me to auction an Aeroflot commemorative album from 1973 (when Aeroflot was 50 years old).

Apparently there was only 2,000 of these things made, and they allegedly go for big money... though I'm buggered if I can find out anything about them.

dammit why can't people spell my name, it's not hard its only 4 letters. I recieved a postal order with my name spelt correctly on the envelope but not on the note or the postal order itself. Fucking n00bs.

In 10 years of handling computer bits and pieces, I have never had a problem with static.

There is absolutely no static potential in my house either, so it'll be fine. :)

Just a quickie, every time I've used maximum bid previously, I've been charged that bid (the bid history shows that someone has bid right up to it). That always struck me as coincidental.

I am bidding on something atm, and the max bid is £75. In 'my ebay' it shows my bid to be £75, but in the bid email, my bid is currently £37.

Is this normal? If I get this item, it will be the bargain of the century, and only 1 day left.

There should be 'Max bid' and 'Current Price'. The current price is what you actually pay, the max bid only shows how high you're prepared to pay.

As for being charged the max bid amount, that's probably caused by the snipers.

If you set a reserve price, but its not met, can you still choose to sell anyway?

How long do you wait before contacting ebay about a non-paying bidder? I sold four videos on the 20th, and I've yet to hear back, have checkout returned or hear from them in any way shape or form. I've sent a reminder and a personal e-mail.

How soon is too soon?

You have to wait 10 days IIRC and you must go through the process of sending reminders etc before you can claim.

Hate NPBs. Waste of space.

You can request their details from Ebay, which usually include the address and telephone number. You'd be surprised how many people do something when they have to speak to a real person, rather than an email.

If they don't buy, put some retardation comments on their feedback, works wonders.

Question....Ive seen some people request that buyers accounts with nil or negative feed back contact the seller in advance of placing a bid or else thethe seller will cancel their bid. Is it actually possible to cancel someones bid?

I too am getting a bit pissed of with NPBs.

Example when a Mike Hunt bids on one of my items , the account name sort of gives it away that hes going to be a NPB.

I give them 24hrs to respond otherwise I cancel them.

Pretty easy to do.

Payment arrived today, (posted yesterday) so luckily no having to phone strange people for me.

I still think its rude to make someone wait for nine days with no correspondence for payment though.
