Dual SIM adaptors

Anyone know anything about these? I'd really like to put my UK and Irish SIMs in one phone, but I've looked at various websites selling adaptors and they don't fill me with confidence (especially the ones that talk about cutting up SIM cards!) Any info, especially from someone who's using dual SIM, would be much appreciated.

I have a dual-SIM and it's one of those "Chop up your SIMs" type.
It works very well. All I have to do is switch to flight mode, then back out of flight mode to switch SIMs.

The catch is that you can't get the full 3G and H speeds on mobile internet. That is unless the adapter manufacturers have finally worked out how to do it.
