Multi-Threading motherboard FTW

Only thing that has worked for me, sometimes get a bit of lag but can stick and never go LD apart from when my USB for some reason just disconnects me from the wireless network.

Can I do this with the one i'm using atm? or do I have to buy another motherboard all together ? ;x

Think he means a Hyperthreading CPU. Not sure.

HT cpu basically acts as 2 cpus.

yep then again it was early for a reply.

You will find this in your bios if your cpu/motherboard supports it.

This is the only thing that allowed me to stick with any reliability.

1GB RAM is the key here. Also don't bother to try duallogging with cata models on.

Other thing that also helped me stick 2 chars with duallogging was that I changed a setting in System properties -> Advanced -> Performance settings -> Advanced tab. Processor scheduling to Background services.

Well this seemed to work, I can now stick with a bit of switching to make sure they stuck. Even stuck in GG :D

Im glad you got it working matey. Didnt help me, till I found that magic setting in bios.

Even with what you did - running around TOA buffer would lag so far in front when switch clients that he had a habbit of bringing all the agro.

Thank you for the hint. With this enabled I can run 2 accounts, read the web, watch videos, use MSN and read E-Mail at the same time.

Stick works but not always with speed, if I need to run speed + sprint and so on I set the scheulding priority of the BB account to above normal for the time of stick run.

Thanks for the help all, my probs are solved, leveling the BBs up now :).

1 GB helps a lot, though I miss the strong inc. lag as warning.

I just run Catas on my laptop next to my PC if I need it. I can also play on my laptop if I choose to, but my PC is slightly more powerful as it has 1GB of ram. Laptop only has 512. :( I'm now looking for a third PC to browse on so I wont have to alt+tab anymore, my laptop occasionally has a fit if I alt+tab on it.

Check if you are running DaoC in the same screen resolution as your windows desktop. It helps alot if the PC doesn't have to change video mode when alt-tabbing.

Yeah, I am, it's just that (Mostly depending on where I am and how long I've been running DAoC) my laptop runs out of memory when I hit alt+tab. Windows has to load everything back into memory from the swap file and this sometimes puts my laptop to a complete halt. This usually stops being a problem after doing it two or three times real fast.

Before I ran them in the same resolution just getting into DAoC was an alt+tabbing nightmare. :p I had to load it up, it'd pop back to windows, I had to click it and hit alt+tab as often as I had programs running, otherwise it would just minimize back to windows again.

I could just run the game windowed, but where's the fun in that? :)
