Adari, in RL we live in a democracy. Why not say you WANT TO claim a stone each and then ASK groupleaders when the dragon is dead. If the majority of the groupleaders say yes, I guess you deserve it.

Wildfire asked on a raid b4, was good manners.

It's "harder" to do than just preclaiming a stone yes, but has two benefits

A) You gain the respect of you realm mates for organising a raid without the ulterior motive of personal gain

B) You don't have to even lead the raid you can leave it to someone like Nibbles/Fingoneil who have already gained that respect and do this kind of thing for free.

Is gathering 7 people willing to let you have one of the two stones you will obtain, harder than organising a dragon raid itself?

a thread will be made on BW, where everybody can make their cause known about how gimped their RA's are or how sucky their spec is, or how much they need to respec to so and so spec to be uber again.
Then me and adari will rank the top 5 people and depending on how many groups we get on the day those top people will recieve a stone "for the greater good of albion"
Well, I actually dont like that idea. Everyone posting on BW will think that his cause of getting a stone is the most important. If they then not receive a stone everybody will be disappointed not to get one and the flame war will begin. And btw. no person can decide what persons need a stone most. Two much power in the hand of some single persons. Personal differences might lower the chance of the applying persons to get a stone.
On the other hand what will you make know that the persons wanting a stone are telling the truth about their RAs and Specs? Simple answer, nothing. And dont say peeps dont try to do such things. The last raid I had, some guy tried to steal stones.

I dont know what the others think, but my suggestion is to grouplotto the additional stones like the items the dragon will hopefully drop. Its just the only way that is fair for all.

Just my thoughts and experience, no offense at all guys :)

edit: because of foreign language foolish guy

I think it's a good idea myself. We're offering players who might not be in a guild joining our raid the possibility to get a dragon stone. Tilda and me will not be chosing people who we like or don't, and those who want a dragon stone obviously have to submit a screenshot.

There will be approx. 5 RA respec stones left and approx. 3 full respec stones, I'd rather give them to people who really need them than to a guild that already has one, or two and can join a dragon raid anytime. The items will be lotto'd, though.

About the preclaiming, like I said before, if this raid goes well I will organise 2 more raids before 1.62 where I won't be claiming, or lotto'ing for any drop. I'll just contact the guilds and make sure all is ok (which takes time, though). Imo that is fair.

Do a raid because of the fun. Dont organise two additional raids cause you feel like you HAVE TO because you claimed a stone at the first raid.

Albion need leaders that lead for the fun of the game. For the fun to kill big monsters. Well, the items are nice too but they should not be the reasons to take a raid.

I do three raids because I find it fun.

The items, however, is what make people wanna kill the giant mobs. Don't tell me we should make a raid because we just liek to gank the dragon every once in awhile and not to get the stones.

Well, I tell you something that happened after I organised the raid.

I didnt claim anything and I didnt take part on the group lotto even. I didnt receive any item or stone.....

My loan was to kill the dragon. The feeling to arrange something bigger without expecting anything. The pleasure to give people some joy.

Oh and my guild gifted me a dragon stone btw. Oh and I like gifts more than claiming a stone.

Albion had lost its spirit if it ever had one just because people think preclaiming is something normal and every raid leader has the right to. People organising raids just because they want a special item.

Dont be that way. Be fair, be kind and just lotto for a stone. And if the guild you are in doesnt gift you a stone and saying thanks for the great raid than you are in the wrong guild.

Stop claiming ffs

Right, I'll join a guild that will give me a stone for organising this raid, heh.

No, my guild has nothign to do with this raid apart from the fact we bring 2 fg, claiming a stone form the is as bad as claiming a stone from all.

And imo fair = arranging dragon raids and claiming one stone only.

Now drop it please, we are still in need of one or two fg, this thread is here to make people sign up, not to discuss preclaiming.

Anyone who organizes a dragon raid deserve a stone.

I think we should all accept that it takes a lot of work to pull it off.

Hats off to adari and tilda I say :)

I find it odd Aligro gets flamed till hell and back for claiming 1 possible drop on a very long raid while this dragonraid is a fairly straight on zerg-excercise and they claim 2 drops (or 8% of the available skill-respecstones).

Someone has to organize a Dragonraid, very true. But now two people start to claim.

What's next? Hello, my guild is organizing a dragon-raid: We claim 8 stones (one for all groupmembers) ???

Organizing a dragonraid hard work? I dunno. I wouldn't mind PM'ing a few dozen people (more like 10 in this case if you do it together) and yelling 'XX,YY,ZZ go north, AA,BB,CC go east!' and yell 'CHARGE' quickly followed by 'OK guys, well done, GIV STONES TO ME' to be sure you get what you want/need.

Sounds to me this is done 'not for the greater good of Albion' (which they even use for remaining stones <ulgh>) but just to be sure they get a stone. I don't have a problem with that, but pretending later on 'for the greater good of the realm' gives me a strange feeling.

I think organizing such a raid consists of about 2 hours MAX PM'ing in addition to being there, like everybody else. Those 2 hours PM'ing are rewarded with the stone. I leave in the middle if you consider that a fair deal.

Just my 2cents.

2 hours?!

Do a dragon and then you will see it is NOT only 2 hours.

But on the other hand your right, claiming is not ok.

We really should start a new topic and move the discussion cause me was told that is a sign in thread.

It's really not what the raidleaders themselves think is hard work. Their opinions are irrelevant. The attenders should judge.

If they say yes, well.. Then it is hard enough of work. Doh!

ummmmm, just a thought but submitting screenshots aint exactly full-proof either, if you've seen paint shop pro you'll know ya can easily edit the stats on a screenshot, its not hard, and it looks very convincing, i'll see if i can find one that i did...:eek7:

dunno if ya'll can see that, might be a bit small, but anyways, thats when i was lvl 38 or something and if you look closely, says im lvl 50 with rr6l9, something like 1,000,000+ rp's and i think 200+ strength, this could easily be done with the skills etc, dunno about RA's. Some of it's pretty obvious but that took me about 10 mins, and with a bit more time im sure i coulda done that a lot better ;)

edit - damnit i'm too crappy at this :eek7: just copy this into browser... www.geocities.com/bash4quik1/coim_remake
