Mincer in same rr as me beats me hands down. I am a assassin(a pure dmg-dealer) and minstrels are musicians, charlatans, tricksters(minstrel betyder till och med gatumusikant). Even if I land pa I am still screwed. So its ok that song-writers beats Midgards assassins hands down but if a warrior-skald asks for some chance to beat Albions assassins people start to laugh?

Wajn more. Minstrel is part rogue and has more tools for soloing than a skald.

actualy there was never any plead or similar to alowe skalds to beat assasins, just trolls with nutting substantial to add saying that was the case

Mistrells are mucho more diff for a skald then a infill are

Minstrel is a musician, yes...... i dont see where it says musicians have to be weak.....

Next patch, when the DD's get upgraded a bit, a skald might become a bit more of a challange to a minstrel...

Although, I've seen Sunwolf fight Zoia, and although Sunwolf wins 99% of the time, its not a 'wtfpwn' senario...

But I wouldnt see why a skald should win from an inf more then 50% of the time if both are buffed to the bone... Defo not if the inf gets PA in...

my HP with MoA 3 buffs are atm 1943. i got no Aug Con or Toughtness tho, not many skalds that got more then 2k HP when buffed, but anyway we get some love in 1.65(about time) we have been the same class for 2 years now.

also I dueled a infil with my RR2 pally and let him stealth i dont have ip.. yes he DF me but i won still.. Imo you gotta look deeper than a tank should do this and this should do that.. Look at what your made for.. Skald is a song singer if my lore serves me right, and the likes of the Thane and paladin are MENT to be the best fighters for there kin..(i.e. Thane was midgards champion) this is wrong in some cases, but raise pally damage tables some would clain over powered, as for Thanes personaly I like em but i feel for em too

They also have more tools for grouping and support.
A skald is not a supportclass like so many here say. They are melee hybrids with a little bit of support abilities.

Expreso, im 46hammer aswell with a 100% 5.2 16.5 hammer and provoke do up to 280 maby with luck even a lil over 300 but rarely

This is with 300str and rather low qui 50base and buffs take it up to 117 or so. but sure I can also hit stealthers for 500ish. But not one who are buffed to its teeth liek 2af boofs and shiats

conq and sledge a lil bedder, after mez when them land and 2DDs it basicly take more then half the infils hits if u dont mis cus conq dont have any + hit bonus T..T

Same here, the only times I've ever beaten an SB have been when they're unstealthed already. If they get the drop on me, I'm dead. And the only time I can remember taking on a nightshade, I didn't spot that it was Cyclodia until it was far, far too late You can guess how that fight ended.

shaman is support
healer is support

skald is a bloody tank, thats why when u select viking u get the option for savage, warrior, thane, zerker or skald - none of them are support classes ffs.

when exping and u flag for tanks, it will show on a skalds window that the grp is looking

the best way i could describe a skald is a cross between a pally and a mincer, with no advantages and all the drawbacks.

crap chants (compared to pally)
no real option of a specable defence (compard to pally)
no stealth (mincer)
no climb walls (mincer)

loads of other stuff ablative chant, pet blah blah the list goes on and on, but skalds have not got one advantage over them.
