lol, reminds me of a teacher from my old school who blew up our chemistry lab cause he was making gun powder :D

He got sacked and they had to rebuild the entire basement, where the lab was, and build an addition to the school with a new lab :p

Anything that engages their minds would be a huge leep forward.

Suprised the liberal saftey nanies haven't had him sacked. Or parents sued him for endangering their youngsters. Would be more typical tbh.

I remember over 20 years ago at school they gave us perspex safety glasses when we were cutting paper with scissors. Just in case a piece of paper sprang out and sliced an eye ball in half.

Relax Hawk.. It's in UK not US :D

Iirc, the health & safety nazis are worse over here.

Wish they'd fuck off tbh, they made my chemistry lessons dull quite quickly after my tutor did the alkaline metals in water. The H&S Exec came in the following week apparently and went loony despite that particular experiments been carried out for years.

Wish they'd **** off tbh.

we did gunpowder when we had chemistry out of cotton and sulfuric acid (think that was what we used) worked great :)
