Ok we all have a point here, i do agree with you to an extent Pip, yeah he's a criminal he isn't the best person to be in society, but people do deserve chances at the end of the day.

He's done his time & now he can come out, hopefully if Laddey and his family support him well he wont dip back into crime, at the end of the day he probably just jumped in with the wrong crowd of people.

When you say you don't care for someone it's a blanket for everything that relates to that person. I.E you don't care if he does well. You said it, get over yourself.

in some way its fair that its recorded for xx years (some people are uncurable) but it also hits people in the face coz many wont be able to get a job - HOWEVER!
if he finds a job he's interested in he can start by saying: yes, i did my time in juvi (which it was right?), you may not think im suited for the job because of that but i have what it takes to become good at it bla bla bla. i mean being honest and determined for a job he can get one i would think (never been punished so hard for me to say). or he can talk with the judges to let the 15 month probation time go because he can get a job that will keep him away from trouble for longer periods of time etc.

If you say you have had previous convictions, and the guy next to you has none, and is skilled on a computer or skilled then obviously he's going to get hte job. My brother has no skills at anything like Computers and stuff like that.
