I can have lucid dreams where I control what happens. Won't tell you what I dream about in those :D

But yeh sometimes I dream about games. Sometimes it helps. Dreaming helps to consolidate the day's knowledge and lump it all together in different ways so sometimes you can get new strategies :)

Sometimes tho it's all bolox and you wake up thinkning "Oh yeah, next time they're about to capture my flag I'll just send in my Korean War Wagons and then fly to a spaceport and upgrade my cargo bay. That'll do the trick. Oh, hang on, it no longer makes sense !!!"

Yes. Several times I've closed my eyes and kept seeing little men building watch towers and attacking each other, Age of Empires 2 sytyleeoooo.

Or flying under a zeppellin, like in Crimson Skies.

It's not right. It's not natural.

Nope, i have never dreamed of being inside a game, but i have had dreams when i suddenly realise it is a dream, so i go out and do whatever the hell i want, like strip off in the street.

I just hope i don't start sleepwalking.

I had a dream where I was at work and realled needed a piss, so I unzipped my trousers and started peeing right there in the middle of the office. People were telling me I shouldn't but I went ahead and did it anyway.

Here's the amazing bit: When I woke up a actually needed to pee.

The human body is an amazing machine.

I dream that me and my family are somehow stuck inside Half-Life and its real and we have to work together to solve the puzzels and so on, thing is, It usually always ends up with my brother being killed by a headcrab and my dad having drinking debates with barney.

Am I sad or waht?

I had a dream where I was Duke Nukem cos I recently saw the DN For Ever trailer. In the end there was this real fit girl and....... ah nevermind

btw, during my typing of this I've suddenly remembered IDDQD and IDKFA...
weren't they from doom? cheatcodes or something iirc heh :)

I don't dream I'm in games, but I do dream that I am in films, like the time I was loading up my pulse rifle in a big elevator and checking my motion tracker for aliens as it hit the bottom, just like the male version of Sigorney Weaver, Corporal Hicks (Michael Biehn the true star of Aliens, and the Terminator) That was cool as I really was scared, but ready to bag me an alien.

Yeh IDDQD = God Mode and IDKFA = All keys, guns, and ammo. First pc game I eva cheated on :)

The worst bout of game dreamign I ever had was with Mario Kart, and it's shiny big brother Mario Kart 64.

a) I would never be able to fall sleep, because my mind was on autopilot driving the tracks

b) I'd actually dream the tracks, and dream driving round them

I think you can guess that we played it wayyyyyy too much. I suppose taking acid and playing it for 12 hours straight each session didn't help too :)

Hmm. Difficult to see what Doom 3 is going to add to the genre. Okay, Doom started it, but Half-Life, Unreal and Q3 have progressed it so much further.

I suspect D3 is going to be one for the existing Doom fans and not designed to make a huge amount of money or provide ground-breaking new features.

Plus, the longer they leave it the fewer gamers out there will have actually played it. How many of you guys have actullay played Doom? Probably fewer than people think.

Considering I am 15 now, when i first played doom (when it came out) I was really young. So i am not ashamed to say:

1) I wet myself becos I was so scared! lol :)
2) I screamed the house down! lol :)

Of course, now is a different matter when i realise i got a hefty BFG in my pocket.... hehehehe..... ;)

oh, and i remember those cheats well.. DOOM2 was impossible on anything higher that hurt me plenty.... (where was that mouse and keyboard?)

Of course DOOM was the only game i actually have cheated in....

I wouldn't say Q3 continued the growth of the FPS. If anything, it has made it worse (i.e it is a pants game)! lol

UT has progressed FPS!
