Do You always tell the exact truth of your past when you meet someone new

When you meet someone new, be it a possible gf or just sum1 u think culd be cool, how truthful are you of your past. The reason I ask this is im not sure how many people may judge you on your past as opposed to how you are now, for me this is of specific note because quite frankly i was alot diffrent 3 or 4 years ago as opposed to now.

I really dunno if i could tell sum1 that when i was 17 i spent 12hours a day on daoc during the summer and put on 2-3 stone over a year. Its such an embaressment and mistake in my life that i really wanna put it behind me. So when sum1 asks me what i i did at the time, i just say i played some comps and was more shy. And really try to breeze over the details, but it hurts me so much that I do this.

Any1 have similar experiences or able to share an opinion.

If there is one thing ive learnt in life, its to always tell the truth! But then again, if this person doesnt ask you what you were doing 3-4 years ago, you have no reason to tell them. TBH, I doubt they would even care that you played DAOC.

I tell everyone i meet, everyone i know or don't know, anything they want and ask and sometimes more.

I hide nothing, shoot straight and say what i think, get knocked about verbally about it, but in the end of the day i can say i'm 100% honest with myself.

When you are as comfortable with yourself as you can be, you have no reason to hide anything

IMO no point being a bullshitter... you ALWAYS get found out eventually.
Be yourself and chat generally.. if u have a secret or summin u dont want them to know so early after meeting em avoid the subject.. and tell them when u have more of a clue as to how they would react.

good example.. i been chatting to some bird recently..(only as a friend cos im enagaged) she has told me she wants me etc.. told me about herself how her dad is dead etc etc... cple weeks later in general convo she said her dad bought her summin.. i didnt mention it but i dont speak to her much lately.. cos if she can come out with bulshit like her dads dead when he aint.. i dont see the point

Just tell them the truth, if they like you they will accept you for who you are and what you did. If they don't they aren't worth wasting the time on, fortunately for me i never need to tell people or girls these things because i have a kind set of friends who break their necks to do it for me
