I've seen this a few times now and yes it does look good, but I'm purposely paying it no attention in case I get too enthusiastic and its shit, which often happens.

I think thats the correct line, because it seems like it could go down the preachy lolmexicans comparisons and by now quite cliche "they are more human than we are" type crap.

looks good.

trailer kinda reminds me of a sci-fi series from the 90's about a shipful of aliens that crash here and get integrated into society. They all gave themselves dopey human names like Sam Fransisco. Cant remember the name of the series atm.

It's got that cool track from Sodebergh's Solaris, but when they showed a shot of the alien I thought it looked a little wanky.

I think it's going to go down a more contemporary, terrorist, "We create the monsters we fear" route.

Bloody xenophobic Saffers.

First black, then white people, now aliens.

Saw this today. Absolutely awesome film. Refreshing presentation with the semi-docu style and good stuff from a random sith ifrican bloke.

Lots of gibbing going on when he gets in the mech :)

Is it deffo DvD quality though, because plenty of supposed DvD rips arent DvD quality, even though they are the right file size.

dvd quality with english subs, my subs were a bit out of sync, but easily recalibrated with vlc.

Excellent film, this years best imo.

Proper film with proper story and the effects were so good you forgot they were effects.

I was totally convinced by the effects. Getting the actors properly trained for those 1 on 1 scenes with the prawns must have been extremely difficult. Massive technical respect to the team.

I liked the movie, although at times i found myself yawning, itching to skip a few seconds.

What I did not like, and I really mean it, was the main actor - and it's not linked to his acting or whatever, that bit was ok - just him, you know? Insta-dislike.

I think he was cast brilliantly. Random civil servant type person with shit personal skills and rubbish at his job yet putting huge effort in.

Exactly, I also thought he was perfect.

I swear to god all the Saffers say "fuck" or "fucking" like scouser's. Do you sound scouse when you swear Dys?

He was cast brilliantly imo he was just perfect for the role kinda geeky but at the end he was battle hardened yet still scared.

Can't say i ever took my eyes of the screen either the whole film was brilliant from the weird start right up until the end.

Me and GF just got back from this and it was amazing.

Great story, great actors, no America for once bring on District 10!!!!!!!!!
