Why don't you just fuck off from a thread that clearly doesn't concern you?

Didnt realise we were not allowed to participate in certain threads based on bmi?

You the forum police?

All i did was point out that ownership of multiple objects that essentially do the same thing is a waste of resources.

No comment on fitness or ability or in ability to do things.

Just strange @Scouse has to bring it back to that personal attacks when i was talking ideolgoically.

I took that in good faith and pointed out very clearly that they don't "essentially do the same thing" at all - and provided a long explanation, with links - which you simply ignored.

And hey presto - thread involving fitness - you join - derailed...

Owning anything that is produced makes you part of the system.
Renewables account for about 15% of world energy use...including hydro and burning wood.
That 85% is used to keep civilisation going..heating the homes of the people who design your bike, the people who build the factory, the guy who delivers the carbon sheet.
The fuel a car uses in its life is a drop in the ocean compared to the energy used to sustain having a car..
Funjily enough cyclists produce 21g of co2 per km.
Id say mtbing is more like 50 and its a pleasure activity.
Plus most people drive to the trails.

No. I just rellerated what i said. I didnt say that i havent been influenced byyour arguement. I can see the difference between a road bike and a mountain bike. but i used to cycle my mtb on the road. But that was 25 years ago and they were not so specialised.

The reply above is just to @Gwadien acting like a stasi guard to the forums.

I still dont get why you have to bring personal insults into a thread where there was nothing personal about you.

Do i threaten you that much ? Do i scare you that you have to resort to school ground insults?

The difference between trail and Enduro mtb is a bit whatever.

I kinda see that from one point of view @Embattle but the other pov is - if you like something specific - like a fatbike, for example, you can get what you want and geek out.
Fatbikes are so good on sand and snow, they are the biggest actual advantage you will get on any bike type.
My mates efatbike rides over sand with ease that mine just sinks into.

I don't see where I've personally insulted you @Moriath. Can you link?

He eats bad, is overweight and unfit
That's not a personal insult - that's just a statement of fact based on previous conversations. If I'd have called you a cunt, then that would have been an insult.

This is the problem right there - you're really touchy, and you blame other people instead of yourself. Which is why you come up with this bullshit about bikes not being environmentally friendly, and jump into the fitness thread to post de-motivational stuff. You want to drag people to your level, instead of doing something about it yourself.

I dont think i am touchy. But my diet is good and you cant know either way.

Ofcourse i would like to be more mobile without pain every day and not have to have a disabled parking badge.

But I think you take things to the extreme and just try to temper your thinking a little bit I dont think I try to destroy them.

Also despite my disabilities I have shed 4 stone over the last couple of years so I am doing stuff about it myself :p

@Moriath: - I post about new bike. Nice thread.

You turn up:
"..its the enviornmental price [of biking].."
"..it would be better to have one bike rather than 5.."

Good faith:
<detailed explanation of why bikes aren't an environmental menace, and more importantly why different bikes have different uses that are entirely legitimate - with links and vids! :)>

You again:
"..its kinda extravagent to require multiple bikes for a personal geek need. Like getting more than one phone.."
- which is crap, and explained very well why in the preceeding post.

And the bike thread, like the fitness thread, has been derailed. Pretty much like any conversation around fitness or health. And I knew it was going to happen - because you have a stick up your arse about it.

Well done for losing the weight. I really mean that - it's a great achievement. That's a big step along the road to health. Next up, maybe let people discuss being healthy and fit without trying to derail their threads, or at least post positive encouraging stuff instead of utter negative tosh because <insertyourownreasonbutIreckonjealousy>...

Edit: Just a thought - but why didn't you put in the fitness thread that you've lost so much weight? Talked about your dietary changes etc? Instead of being negative? It would have been interesting to read about (still would).
