I'd like to join this too although I started my diet last Tuesday and so far I have lost 2 lbs.

I currently weigh 15 stone / 210 lbs and my goal is to reach 11 stone / 154 lbs

Fair bit of weight to lose. I will endeavour to keep running this diet post but anyone can do so if I get banned or bugger off.

By all means use my homesite training/diet program (adjusting it for measurements like Ezteq mentioned). Will be adding stuff about fitness and diet too.

I stepped on the scale yesterday and it said 90kg.

It was after a 2 hour swim though so i think 91kg is more accurate.

(off topic: My computer is acting wierd. Everytime i try to write something the letters start appearing in the middle of the sentence. What the hell is that about? Any advise? Its annoying as hell.)

Not going to weigh today. I have had a few lapses with regard to some booze and grub. I have trained really hard though so there is still the possibility that I have shed some fat. I don't want to find out though that I haven't. I intend to race in about 5 weeks time so from now on I will have to really concentrate. I am always suspect when stepping up my training with booze and food intake as I get so wiped out and turn to such for some solace. Still that normally passes as my fitness improves and then my weight drops really fast.

Are you on a laptop? I ask because that happens to me a lot, and its because my thumb hits the touchpad while typing =)

I'll do my weigh in at the weekend, though just discovered the sub of the day (only had 6 inch one, the guy asked me if i wanted a foot and i said no ta i had two hands for breakfast...i got "a look" when i explained it was my first sub) so possibly i will be spherical by then lol.

I been really good so far and its almost been 2 weeks sinces i started my own diet plan... lost 4lbs so far...

I've cut out all cheese, no fizzy drinks, no bad shit... although people keep asking if i want some shite and i keep saying 'no'...

Temptation out the window now and tbh I feel alot better within myself, more confident... next week I will start running again which is what I aim to do as I use to do lots of cross country running before i started playing DAoC!!!! :p

Am following the 'You are what you eat' book now. All boils down to eating natural foods. I can follow it fine until late at night after I have run hard. I am so bloody tired I crave a drink of booze. Possibly I will still lose weight really quickly but I can't see how I can beat the craving. The more I train the more I tend to drink. I ain't alone in this as a lot of marathon runners use booze as a fuel.

so does Bender...you dont burp flames do you?

Oo
Nope but instead of coming out as flames from my mouth it comes out as vitriolic flames from my fingers instead - same as my mouth really - verbally through the keyboard and I ends up in all sort of trouble on Freddys. I do write some damn good poems though at these times as you are obviously aware.

Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side.

With a 5-lb potato sack in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides, and hold them there as long as you can.

Try to reach a full minute, and then relax.

Each day you'll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer.

After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato sacks.

Then try 50-lb potato sacks, and eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb potato sack in each hand, and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute.

Once you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each sack

Am still exactly the same weight I was when I posted, but my endurance and strength have gone up a little bit, which is quite nice.

If you want inspiration watch 'Fat man slim' again when it comes on the tv.

Sky Player

Guy lost over 10 stone. I remarked to my father when watching the documentary on the strange mark he had when he had his head more or less shaved - a scar was evident. After this amazing weight loss the poor bugger died from a brain tumour at the age of 44. One that he had already been operated on. No idea what the moral of this story is - if there is one - but the determination and methods he used to achieve his weight loss were remarkable. Just a month or 2 of his lifestyle is more than enough to rid the pounds of most - including me (booze is still my downfall).

If you need inspiration to lose wt try and watch 'Fat man slim' when it shows again on the tv.

So how you fat bastards doing then?

Me I am now training 2x a day and fit as hell. I am also getting cut pretty sharp. I am looking to get in the top 5 in my age group for Wales very soon in road races from 5k to 10k. In other words I ain't given up on getting fit and slim. Have you?

Update from me, I am not dieting and have followed the natural cycle and have lost 8Lbs. I expect more to be lost in the next few months. I was almost 14 stone and expect to drop to 13 which is now like half a stone under optimum maximum weight.

Eat my dust suckers xD

Ofc I put it back on again during Winter which is what you were meant to do any way so I don't care xD I don't over eat, I eat the right the stuff and I only eat when I am hungry and I won't go over board. Choccy, hmm like the stuff but it's more women's stuff these days and learn to duck if you say it's not. Cba with snacks. Just eat the right stuff and eat when ur hungry imo and not when you feel a bit peckish.

My gains have slowed down, I am 9st 4lb's and have been for nearly 3 weeks now. I have suffered from a lack of protein shakes to boost my mass.

Have started a new gym regime (5 days a week, twice a day) and have seen a massive increase in strength, so hopefully an increase in lean muscle mass is on the way too.
