What? So you want to use certain poisons for certain classes? Wow thats complex, if you want skill, go real RvR, unfortunatly backing someone up with all the pots you can get, rr2, buffs and ToA caps reall doesn't do much for his cause. Sure he was a nice guy and honourable player, but you can't honestly say it takes that much skill to pwn with all those tools. Infact half the people he faught were /level 20 rogstars most likely.

All he did was PA, then Vanish, re apply poisons then PA, you are making things sound more complicated than they are. Also, keeping a clear mind when fighting is natural.

Now taking on a 10+ with a bd, thats skill.

I was talking in general and merely pointing out the difference between gear/tools and skill since so many mix them up. After all, it does not matter what you got if you don't know how/when/where to use it. Did I say it takes skill to play thid? It doesn't, but that was not the point. People can still show class play. Doing poisons etc. in 'stressed' conditions (couldn't think of the right word' isn't easy. Knowing what one to use, when to sacrifice it etc. challenges the mind. Then you mention real RvR, which you contradict by saying your last comment. First you say you can't have skill in thid, then you say you do? Care to explain. Then you say about /level 20 rogst0rz. Yeah, ok, maybe he did kill them. So did you. You could not take on 10+ level 24 people who knew what they was doing, no matter how much your big head would crush them.

I would write a small essay explaining the arguement of infil vs. bd blah blah blah but the ego-thing would stop it sinking in.

But anyway, Brokeninfil was probably one of the most legendary people in Thid, along with people like Blokkie. Reputation counts for everything. He had a reputation for being a generally nice bloke, hence why he is known and respected. Hence why he got a thread title and frankly, why those that try to be ego-bashing etc. do not.

Especially if you realise that you had to get RR2 through real rvr, as you could not get that in thidranki. Having 6-10 more spec points makes a load of difference, when most just have 1-4. The extra skill point from RR doesn't really matter. But all these toys, on a class like an infil, no, I wouldnt consider him a legend.

A good player and a nice guy perhaps, never talked to him, but that's it.

Well +6 is useful because you can spec less Envenom and stealth, giving you more DW/Slash/CS and whatnot.

It was, but you couldn't get RR2 inside BG1. You had to go camp oil and such to get it.

If it's your thing to go all that way just so you get it easier in thid... so be it, but I won't be calling someone like that a legend of the game.

I've always wondered what happened to the way thid used to be. People just playing a bit of DAoC, not bothering about silly titles, not going out of their way just to find that RoG with caps and TOA bonusses. I'm amazed people even bother to have those silly e-peen fights in BG1.

I remember the best night in Thid being when they released the /level 20 command and the place was swarming with people. Mids defending the CK from those awful albs But I guess I'm just being a nostalgic old fool
