I thought it was only optional to sell using RL money? You don't have to buy the best item on day one. You can still grind dungeons and whatnot if you wish.

Personally, I have no real issue with selling for real money, I am getting pretty close to my second million gold in WoW from "playing the AH" I would love to be able to cash that in.

Yeah, you don't have to use it and even if you make 1 dollah on the real money auction, it's still 1 dollah more then you would otherwise.

Jsut dont' spam it with useless sh*t, brain use not mandatory, but supported.

Lan? Who cares.
Same goes for need for online, everyone already is if they play anything online. Or..you know...have a computer :p
Battle net can be a donkeyass with hives, it's just a way to get from desktop to game. As was battlenet1, it really asn't anything special.

I wonder when people will complain about GAME issues about diablo, would like to hear those.

I cancelled sometime last year Aada, not sure what bandwagon you're referring to.

Toht - not interested in you trying to find random arguments to make a 20 page thread - you're going to buy it, i'm not, do we really need a 20 more replies? No. K thanks.

Nice cop-out, why bother in justifying your arguments when you can just rage and rant about it like a kid not getting JUST RIGHT kind of candy, ignoring that he candy is pretty much the same.

But yeah, i'm glad you're not buying it, less of your kind is better. Constructive criticism = welcome, morons on ragewagon = fek off.

In case yu didn't notice, i'll be leaving my judgement of the GAMEPLAY and other meaningful aspects of the game for after i've actually played it. Once you have points about anything actually involving the game, do come back.

Read about the differences and 2.0 does seem to suck big time. B.net was great because it created a community and the different chat channels and ways of communicating

Consoleified for PS3/xbox.

It's why gaming has stagnated into a mahoosive pile of shit nowadays.

Honestly, I play a couple of titles a year nowadays. Not because I want to give up games - but because there's very little out there that knows what an envelope is, never mind pushes it.

Even hardware development has stagnated. Moneymoneymoneymoneymoney.

Poor geeks. Where have they gone? :(

And 2-3 months after Diablo 3, Torchlight 2 comes out - made by the staff that made diablo 1/2 - all the idiotic fanboys who derpbuy diablo 3 and ignore what will be a better game make me sigh.

Ooooh. I quite liked Torchlight, but wanted a multiplayer so held off. Glad it's coming out soon.

When you can start playing on day 1 and buy 1/10000 drops for 5 euros from some chinese guy... why even bother playing the game or grinding dungeons with friends for fun?

Yep. It does nerf the fun.

It's like biking in the gym on an exercise bike or going on a biking trip with friends. One's kinda pointless, the other has a purpose behind it. Take away the purpose and I lose interest and choose other things to do. Not going to waste my life down the gym :)

Not doing diablo 3, the hype machine is on overdrive and eca is right.

Torchlight however is fantastic and i cannot wait for the sequel.

I do find the constant monetising of games really tedious. Between dlc and now things like this. I know people say 'just don't use it' but it's still there in the corner of my consciousness (or worse, with lots of dlcs popping up in the middle of the game world asking me if I'd like to get my credit card out if I want to play this particular part of the game). For that reason I won't be buying diablo 3.

Baldurs gate 1 and 2 enhanced though? Fuck yeah!

I will definately buy it , but tbh I was more interested in a BG3 :)
But Enchanced BG1 and BG2 is nice, will be nice to play a well written game again

Don't know about that, the hype machine is the same as it is with any classic. Starcraft 2 was hyped over the hills and up the wazoo with a banjo strapped on it, yet ECA seems fine with that game.

I really dont get how these "issues" are issues at all really.

For LAN play, the world has moved on. LAN play was for when internet connections were generally shit, you had to have people in the room to get a good game going. But nowdays the internet is much better, you can still have LAN games if you want, but your router would need to be on the network somewhere "huge deal" evidently...my router? on a network! *sigh*

No mods, I dont expect this one to last beyond the point Blizz get Warden into D3 properly and limit modded games to sub ladders and the like. Infact I fully expect the SC2Store to come to D3 fairly rapidly.

Always online DRM...See #1 :durr: Really? being always online is DRM? Holy shit that means the current biggest games (Monetarily) are all DRM'd up the cazoo! Oh god the humanity! Yes I mean MMOs..
The only issue there will be for people with laptops who want to play on the move, and how many of them, who are proper gamers, dont have some sort of 3G dongle?

Consolified, maybe i'll give you that one when it comes out.

Region locked? Nope, its global. I present my D3 game window, please note the region being "Global"

RMA, Yeah this is the big sticker for alot of people. I do have the same opinion as you that the big winners will be the farming teams which sucks balls. But, from the play side. Certain ladders and game modes [hardcore for example] are RMA blocked. So you can't take any RMA or GA (gold auction) into these game types.

I'm still waiting for someone to post something that's wrong with the gameplay :p

'cause otherwise this all sounds awfully lot like the Mass effect 3 "issue".

Didn't get a go at the beta but a friend who did said it wasn't too bad.

The thing is though, there isn't all that much you can do with a top down hack'n'slash except a decent story and Blizzard aren't great at telling a story really.

Nah - Diablo II story wasn't what kept people playing for years. It's all about the Itemz.

I disagree I think that Warcraft lore is actually quite good

I think it used to be but recently it's run out of steam. The whole Thrall walking about in a dress being emo is crap, they could have done so much more with the cataclysm than have a daft looking dragon flying about.
