even this logical thinking you speak of, i dont think its you deciding without a previous factor influencing it.
the decision is already made, and youre simply catching up to the point in time where the decision is actioned.

now i think about it, its similar to how donnie darko was when it gets to the part where he is being led by the "tunnels".

he believes hes making a choice to go somewhere but what the tunnels are showing is that the path is already determined. through each step in time, hes coming to a point where the action is becoming 'reality' and so giving an impression that he decided it him self. because he could not see into the future before he believes hes making the choice, but the time tunnels show otherwise. so the time tunnels are showing the future, and so he can see he has not decided anything.

too late to edit my post but there is also other ways you can look into it.

i could be wrong but i think theyre making ground in quantum physics in predicting locations or properties of certain particles. assuming this is the case..

if something is completely random and its future is not determined there is no way at all you can predict the future of it, surely? its not determined so it can take an infinite number of paths.

another way you can look at that is the physicists are discovering ways in which to see a moment in time that has not yet happened, for a particular particle. im guessing it uses paramaters or something to do this, but thats not a problem. since the past paramaters are deciding the future event, for anything.

pretty much goes for anything, like a car. if you know the parameters to you can predict the distance it wil take to stop etc. youre essentially looking at a time frame that hasnt happened, but it has been decided.

tbh itd be really crap to be dying and think "wtf? was that it???....eergh, nuuuuurse!"

i'm too busy observing the stuff round me (not people, but the interesting stuff) to worry about how i will effect things, personally i hope i dont lol because, well if anyone is capable of destroying the universe and then standing there with a "whoops, was that me?" look on their face, it is me.

anyhoo i do believe in quests and adventure and stuff liek that but i think you have to go find it (fetch boy, go fetch!) because i dont think it comes and finds you very often, and you could miss stuff while your sat there waiting. like when you start waiting for a bus then you get trapped at the bus stop and then half an hours gone by and your thinking "aw man i could of walked home by now" but your too scared to move because you just know as soon as you turn your back the bus will come wooosh and go past and then itll take even longer...
