Even with amnesia you need to time exactly right and a semi-smart sorc aint driving anymore in a current Alb-group due to the longer range.

But keep on insulting people, it is what you do best on BW tbh

I'm not insulting anyone in particular, it's just that you should've easily won the mezzfight when you didn't. You're claiming the bard has it worst of all, the sorc is actually the worst of all at mezzing, unless your bard is just bad. You don't have to time amnesia exactly, you target the sorc, hit amnesia when he starts casting, start casting your own mezz and you hit the aoe amnesia when your halfway your own cast, that's all really, there's no way the sorc could cast a mezz in half of your own casting time.

I mentioned the TdD bards who were with you (2 days ago? or whatever it was) because that's quite an example you could take when you say "the sorc will win the mezzfight if bards don't use instamezz" while it's actually the bards that were asleep and still didn't mezz me while they had 4x amnesia.

Xeanor do me a favour and read what I said again. (I don't class successful Amnesia as an Interuption but a cancellation of the spell - difference being you can recast immediatly after being Amnesiaed - you normally can't after being interupted)

I've made the assumption people know what a successful Amnesia does - for those that don't - The caster casts his spell but with no effects i.e. the Sorc casts Mez but don't Mez, the Druid casts a Heal but don't heal, the Chanter casts a DD but it don't do any damage. It basically makes you forget the cast but you finish the casting animation. You can immediatly re-cast straight after (no stupid interuption lag). From what I've seen if you resist a Amnesia it will interupt (from testing in a duel between Chanter and Bard - may be different for true RvR as sometimes the effects in Duels don't hold true)

Also side note for those that don't know what QC does - QC allows you to cast any spell without being interupted, Mythic info used to say (don't know if it still does) that it halfed casting time - in game testing shows this not to be true it seems to be a flat 2 second cast time - independant / not altered by original spell cast time / dex / MotArt etc.

So Bard Insta Amnesia (if you're lucky) will allow you to cancel out two Sorc spells in the first opening 5 seconds if a fight.

I have had quickcast interupted a few times but it's very rare, though it should be same as your cast speed but it's definetly not and it's silly that it can be interupted even though the chance is very small.

I have found Savages interupt quickcast far more than any other class, yet another avantage they get

I'll agree and disagree here. If it was a 1 vs 1 then I would say yes the bard should win every time.

In a group situation though there are other factors which can affect the outcome:

For example, assume both groups see each other at clipping distance and head towards each other.

At 1800 range the sorc stops and starts casting mezz...
The Bard easily targets the sorc and hits single target Amnesia interrupting the cast.

The bard closes to 1500 range with the sorc (at which point assuming that the rest of the alb group weren't standing around watching they should be 1200 range from the bard) and starts his own casted mezz and hits AoE Amnesia to interrupt the sorcs second cast.

However, the alert paladin had been waiting for just this moment and hits his Insta-Taunt button causing the Bards cast to be interrupted. At which point the sorc happily lands his third cast and everyone rejoices...

Best case scenario IF both groups are fully aware is that a bard should mezz all of the alb group except the sorc (who stopped at 1800 range) before his own group gets mezzed.

I thought sorcerers where granted bolt range mezz to stand a fair chance against mid and hib insta's.

Anyway, this tread has gone from please dont make stealth groups your ruining my fun>to ffs stop adding in my fights>to a whine about mez.

your either a stealther or a non-stealther, non-stealthers join opted groups (with 1 mini) and stealthers can either group together or join a random pickup group and get destroyed by the next enemy opted group that comes by.

and ive had plenty of 1v1 fights when a alb group would come and add, do i care, hell no, its just a game, a just to remind you all when i click on some one from hib or mid it actually says "he's a member of an enemy realm" so why the fuck are ppl moaning when i start beating on him.

All you whiners should get a fing life and play the game with what you have at hand instead of trying to change the reality of the game. If you dont like it go play the pve game that is Horizons

Hibs want more people

It is an endless amount of whine that is only useful for population a pointless thread like this!!!!!!!
