Well I just got Horizons , so you can stuff the albion stealth zerg up the heini of the GG , I'll prob be lvl'ing some toon's and join a little guild hunting , but besides that you wont see me until SB's get tuned or infil's/mincer tag team's get nerfed to hell , so have fun

At least our high rrs solo; Remi, Alpha, Aussie, Elajt(solo/duo)...

Yes ridicolous to be high rr and groupgank all the time imo.

Excal for the win atm. Perhaps time to lvl the Blade-Ranger some more. ;)

You also know a bard cannot get the same castingspeed as a sorcerer due to 2 reasons:

a) A sorcerer gains dexterity as secondary stat (INT, DEX, QUI) versus a bard gaining dexterity nowhere during levelling.

b) A sorcerer has access to higher base-dexterity races. You for instance are an Inconnu who starts out with 70 dexterity. You could also have picked a Saracen getting 80 dexterity.

Thanks to those 2 facts your cast-time right at level 50 RR1 freshly SC'ed will already be higher.

Besides that a sorcerer has a higher range on his AE mezz (and radius btw!) which means he WILL land that mezz earlier if both start to cast as soon as in range.

To give Hibs (and Mids; who suffer the same 'faith') a fair chance in the CC-battle they've been granted insta mezzes.

Now Im not gonna argue with you about if it takes skill to insta someone his ass (it doesnt) but I do know its the ONLY chance a bard has if the sorcerer is not half asleep.

If you lost a CC-battle and got a casted mezz on you then there's only you (or your connection) to blame as a sorcerer.


BTW, dont take this as a personal attack/insult. I think you're the best sorcerer on Alb/Pryd in terms of landing CC. But I dont think its fair to whine about a bard using his only way of winning the CC-battle.

Yep, but then Sorc has QC, AE Amnesia has a 10 sec recast timer on it, single target Anmesia (level 2 spell) 5 sec recast timer.

Amnesia used well allows a Bard to close the mezzing distance - if it's successfuly the Sorc keeps his QC though and can recast as soon as he/she has finished their current casting. If it's resisted the QC goes through. Anmesia is a counter to the superiour castable Mez of a Sorc but it's not an 'I win' button in the Mezz battle.

None of the CC classes are easy to play. Of them all I'd say the Bard is probably the most difficult - responsible for getting Mez off and then supply end for the group while being gank me target No. 1. If I was to vote for the most frustrating of all the CC classes to play it would have to be the Sorc - sometimes the only cloth wearer in a group, primary target anyhow - must be frustrating to die like 2 - 3 times most fights.

Stupid Maleg, QC is interrupted by amnesia too, even MoC is interrupted by amnesia, and QC is like 3x as slow as castable mezz.

QC = not affected by dex or MotA

Puppethealer, all your TdD bards suck bigtime, because i started a mezz on your group at range 1700-1800 or so, and I finished it when more than half of your group was at range 400 or so, because of 2x amnesia, you have TWO bards and none of them had even STARTED to cast a castable mezz.

And a good bard can easily win a mezzfight vs. a sorcerer, you just need good amnesia timing and a good cast speed (MotArt 3), tho it gets harder when the sorc has 345 dex and MotArt4

He said that if the Amnesia is successful that the sorc keeps their QC and can try again after the casting cycle has finished. If the Amnesia is resisted then the QC will land. Which implies that he understands that Amnesia will interrupt a QC to me.

A resisted amnesia doesn't interrupt.

And a sorc who does the first mezz from distance with QC will always lose.
