People DO and CAN get into jobs with art and if you don't understand that it just shows how small minded you are.

Although I do have to agree DAoC is far too addictive and time consuming to keep up efficiently with whatever studies you're doing. The only way to do it properly is to take a full 100% break from DAoC for a while, even 3 hours a night of DAoC for GCSE / A Level students is too time consuming in my opinion...

side note on art: when a famous artist(dont remember who) got a monkey to paint his pictures as a test of art-critics, he proved that all you need to be successful in art is a name thats known( critics hailed the pics and they sold for millions). which is fucking sad imo. Ppl trying to be classy and shit trying to interpret pictures that the artist for instance just painted because he thought it looked nicely, while retards see his pics and think: "oh, well here he was clearly thinking of yaddi-yaddi-yadda etc etc etc"

makes me wanna slap em and yell: "Shut the FUCK UP you moron, he painted a fucking picture, its nice to look at, LEAVE IT AT FUCKING THAT, CAPICHE?"

Sheeee-it! I created works of art almost every week of my zoology degree in that case. If only they hadn't been destroyed for sanitation reasons I might not be paying off my student loans to this day. Fucking artists...pah.

I like pretty pictures but most of todays 'artists' need to be dragged out into the street and shot like the rabid dogs that they are.

Nah god bless the drawing, painty type artists, we need someone to mock and ridicule. We used to piss em right off at A-Level by walking in the art room and saying everything was an art piece. They had a toaster and a loaf of bread in there to make toast for when they were on a break.
We'd always walk in and critically assess the placement of the toaster and how it 'represents the slavery of the farm and agricultural industries to todays post-modern capitalist soceties'

They were like 'FFS its just a plain FUCKING TOASTER!'

I studied art in GCSE and A-Level, never got round to college since I desperately needed the money. All my hopes of a future career in art have pretty much been destroyed. Trying to salvage any creativness left inside me to create a web-comic. Sadly, with work and socials... I never have much time... about 3 hours a day to myself.

I now work as a Beta Tester for various companies - currently NTL and Tesco.net

After this I'm NTL tech Support...

Becomming a porn star? Some previous acting experience required. It may not seem like it but it is preferred... much like all jobs now.

Besides, you never get any of the good stuff first, like all acting jobs, you gotta start at the bottom of the ladder doing adverts and such.
