f-secure has updated thier antivirus online scanner as well. The only one
I use. I never had a antivirus program on any on my PCs, but when I download
suspicous software I usally scan b4 executing. www.f-secure.com
I never had a active worm or virus for years undetected.

Avoid M$ products like MSIE. Its usally the mainstream softwares that
have the big security holes. That includes thier firewall. I prefer Sunbelt Keiro personal firewall. It even support Snort packet sniffing rules that u can apply
to for log or stop particular traffic. For advanced users.

Always keep up to date with windows security patches.

If you're still having problems (can't be arsed to read the whole thread) then download "Hijackthis v1.99.1".

Then, go to Tools -> View, and make sure "Show Hidden Files" is checked.

Now run a Hijackthis scan, and post your logfile here. I'll then take a look

And don't forget fdisk /mbr in case a virus gets it's teeth in tight.
