If I had aksed for a blue car and got a red one I would be pissed off. If i asked for a blue sweater and got a red one i would be pissed off, especially if it was well know that i hated red and loved blue.

It's a gift. You DON'T get to choose you little spoiled brat.

A GIFT.

It's your b-day. It's xmas. No matter what you get. You should smile, say "Thanks, i always wanted this." and shut the f*ck up!

If you want a blue car, save up and buy one. Asking for a spesific gift because it's "My day!" is juvenile, stupid and behaviour that should be removed from the genepool. With a shotgun.

It doesn't matter, they are wealthy so it has nothing to do with the money. Its easy for us poor folk to say well its a car and she should be gratefull but IMO it isn't relevant.

She asked for a blue car she got a red one, maybe rich daddy should pay more attention. :p

Edit: its no like she got a clio and qq'd for a ferrari, she just wanted a blue car, it would have cost not a cent more, and would have show that her folks were paying attention.

It's not like fuck that we can't afford blue? it like fuck that we can't be arsed to find one in blue the first garage we went to had a red one so that will have to do, cos we need to get to the golf club for some rich person bollocks.

Buying a gift is about making the effort to get the correct gift not the money u spent :p

A GIFT.

When asked "What do you want for your b-day/x-mass" you abolutly have the right to fucking choose. else whats the point in fucking asking?

To be polite. To see what you would LIKE as a gift. Maybe you misheard it or have a richa** daddy too.

If you say something reasonable, then it's ok. But if you ask for a sports car and get it in "oh my gods" wrong color, then you don't get the right to b*tch about it.

There's no law, moral or legal, to buy someone what they would want for their birthday. In all fairness, you should buy your mom a gift for enduring the pain of getting you the f*ck out.

But when it comes to "have some free stuff we bought for your "special" day", then you got f*ck all rights.

this may be faked, but a very similar thing happened to my friends brother.

It was his 18th and his dad got him a Mini Cooper brand spanking new just like he asked. But on the day of his birthday his dad got one of his employees to lend him their banged up renault megane and my friends bro it was his car. He flipped out telling his dad he hated him and stormed back inside until his dad brought out the Cooper which was parked round the corner and then acted as if nothing happened.

So it does happen in real life as well, some kids are just spoilt :m00:

It doesn't matter what it is, a car to those folks is nothing, but like i said in my reply to tris, they fucked up on the detail, and thats what matters. The only diffrence was the colour, she wanted Blue, it seems her fav colour is blue, so her parents are willing to spend the money but not willing to take the time and sort out the 1 simple detail that it must be blue, blue is her fav colour and her parnets didn't know or cba to make effort to look for a blue car.

If i asked my gf, kids, parents for friends what they wanted for xmass and i could afford to buy it and had no problem buyining it i sure as hell wouldn't fuck up on the minor details.

If you ask for an iron maiden cd and you get puff daddy, it fucking lame to say well it's a cd be gratefull, be gartfull of what? someone walking into a shop and paying for a random cd that you may or may not like.

It's about effort not cost.

First: You don't know if she ASKED for a blue one. She might not even ask for a car. Might be a 16th b-day and "expect" a car.

Second: Money is ALWAYS something. If you thought that "WEll, it's just like buying her a cd", you'd be broke in a heartbeat. That's no cheap car, if i remember correctly, it's around 30k atleast. That's no money to "F*ck around" with.

Third: If it's about effort and not cost, then you SHOULD be happy with anything you get. Wrong cd? Change it in shop. Wrong color car? Change it you dodo. It's the thought that counts, and even if i got macaroni and cheese(which i did by the way) for an xmas pressie from my bro, i'd laugh and say good show.

But guess some people just ain't happy if it don't shine like they like.

So, you'd be pissed off at people buying you a wrong gift, but would you stomp around screaming and crying?
You could exchange it for god's sake.

tbh i find it repugnant when girls over the age of 10 call their father daaaddeeeee *shudder* eeugh just makes me want to slap something (no dick jokes please) and the disagreement thats going on here i can see both sides yes she should be damn grateful for getting a car for her birthday, hell a car?? i wouldnt care what colour it was its a car! she did say she wanted a car and she got one, the fact that she said she wanted blue and got red.. well tbh there are much bigger things to cry over its not like she got a ab negative kidney after saying she needed an o positive and full colour co ordination is kind of sick.

but then the statement that its the thought not the gift that matters is also true, I mean i've had some gifts in the past from people who are related to me that fully illustrate how little they know me, was actually quite hurtful and tbh i'd have been happier with either a gift token (which i usually hate because its so impersonal) or nothing rather than something i cant use (and im not being bratty here i mean someone buying me clothing thats too small for me in eforts to either make me lose weight or because they were too ashamed to buy a size 12, cellulite cream... never ever had cellulite stuff like that)

I think maybe its a personal thing but when it comes to gifts i believe they should be personal and thoughtful.. if they dont cost like a gazillion dollers then who the hell cares about thought!

After looking at BOTH videos rather than just the first one:

Both are in the wrong!

Parents show off how they think they can throw money at thier kids and think that is enough.

The girl stated in the second video that she told them exactly what she wanted. Therefore the parents messed up big time by not thinking, to kids these details can be important.

The girl is wrong also, because she should be more grateful that the parents have made the effort in the first place, rather than just ignoring thier kids like other parents do. Just throwing money at them is better than ignoring them, i guess.

Also

That annoying twat behind the camera needs a big slap.
