Not everyone does birthdays, I don't and neither do most my friends, but it's a huge deal for some people. In fact I know only 2 people who make thier b-days big occasions, the rest are take it or leave it and 1 is leave it or else. If you really like a big deal then let it be know, if not then you have nothing to worry about.

Yeah i for one don't really care about preasents, xmas or bday. But it is nice to be remembered, especially by family and friends you see all the time.

But i never cared about presents really, it's just, well cash is always nicer

for the more stable minded folks amongst us its a good excuse to have a massive party with old friends and new, friends you havent seen for years and can only make it to you once or twice a year.
