I'd doubt it, considering how much the press have been jizzing over it so far. Only reason they'll slag it is cos it's a BMW, and top Gear could never give a 100% positive review of a BMW, not while Clarkson is there anyway.

The press reviews of the M3 I've seen have been a bit lukewarm tbh. Mostly in the "it's a good all-rounder but wait for the CSL" vein.

The press reviews of the M3 I've seen have been a bit lukewarm tbh. Mostly in the "it's a good all-rounder but wait for the CSL" vein.

Both evo and Top Gear said it was great, and no-one else's opinion REALLY matters at the end of the day.


Oh and Audis > BMW? Fucking LOL. Yeah nice one folks. As G says, the engines in the wrong place still and they're still shit at powerslides. They seem to have an even lazier designer than Porsche as well. New A4 lads? A bollocks to it lets trace over a picture of the old one and see if anyone notices.

A narrow points decision then, and a far cry from the walkover BMW enjoyed with the E46 M3.

Hardly unequivocal. Especially as the RS4 is at the end of its life and the M3 at the beginning. The RS5 should be interesting Admittedly Tom Ford raved about the M3 in Top Gear mag, but he raved about the RS4 as well. Don't get me wrong, the M3 is the only car in the BMW lineup I'd buy, and I'd get it over the RS4 (if I had 50 grand spare ), but you can't dismiss rapid Audis any more. Of course if I was in the 50K coupe market a year from now I'd get a GT-R.
