having major probs 2nite trying to get a game of cs, when it gets to WON authentication just crashes, this is leading to some major unhappiness, looks like alot ppl complaining of same prob on www.counter-strike.net forum, just wondering if many uk ppl having same prob, GET YOUR FINGER OUT WON FFS :-(

I cant get into the counter-strike.net forums as they are being optimised (dunno, u tell me)
ive been trying all night to get on, getting the same bloody crash, every time it gets to won authentication, it just stops. grr
I even went to reinstalling halflife, hl1101, hl11011104, hl11041106, then bloody cs again. and now i find its a damned problem with won!!! ARGH! sort it out.. i need me fix :-P

I have seen some people on the servers so some of the WOn servers are working.

If WON aint back up then nearly all the teams in BWCSl will be unable to play CS or anyother Sierra game for that matter (tribes 2 as well).

Here is hoping sierra pull there socks up and fix WON once and for good.

I have the solution :)

in your valve directory, there is a file called woncomm.lst
rename it to woncomm.old or summut

then download this replacement

and extract to the valve dir, and oila!

right, if you check the directory, and without being a stupid fucker, you will find the files are, cs_delta_assault.zip = A MAP!
maps.zip, which is a map, m134vulcan.zip which is a weapon skin, and cheat.zip, which if u cared to download it, you will find it contains 2 demos of a cheat that came onto our server i had to make for the owner of the server... next time u have a comment to make, CHECK THE FACTS U JUMPED UP LITTLE SHIT!

the woncomm file came from the counter-strike.net forums..
so, if its illegal, speak to them

well.. dont jump to bloody conclusions then, and post something u dont know about, and get the url taken off thats helped a lot of people to get back on the servers..

ps, its cheat.zip, not cheats

basically, you were the one who decided to tell EVERYONE i am a cheat and a hacker, even went to the extreme of getting a moderator to edit my post.
People like you are the ones who would execute people then ask questions later, because you jump to conclusions on stupid circumstantial evidence.

I think i deserve an apology, and if the shoe were on the other foot, i think you would want one too.

Anyway, last post for me, on this forum, as im not bothering helping people with my computer know how (like how to find out wtf can help us stranded peeps when won goes down) if all im gonna get is small minded dickheads like you trying to get people in trouble with no ACTUAL evidence what so ever.

No I was going to apologise till you decided to be abusive on ICQ, I edited the original post as soon as you explained what your site contained. Your woncomm.lst is buggered though -I have seen several people with "woncomm.lst incompatible/out of date" errors. Anyway byeeeeeeeeeeee.

Thnx for sticking up for him Ono, would have been majorly short lived argument otherwise.

yea. i noticed. his last comment sums it up...
he hasnt even looked into the file, obviously, as he would have seen that the file is exactly the same as the original except the servers have been put in ip form instead of name.. so there is no way it could be out of date.. lol.. nm. kids and their lame ways of trying to start an argument..

btw chetan.. i wouldnt post your full address anymore.. as some peeps arent that far away from you.. its easy to flame someone in writing on a forum. but its a different matter when theyre stood on your doorstep. (cant be too many Samaria Chetans in croydon :rolleyes: )

try not to piss anyone else off
